With GT5, F1 2010 and NFS all coming out over the next few months, I've been thinking about purchasing a steering wheel.

I had a look online and the Logitech G27 seems to be the premier steering wheel on the market.

Does anyone have any feedback they can provide about the G27 or any other wheel on the market?

Thanks in advance

In preparation for F1 2010 i thought i'd check out a few different wheels, fully expecting them to be $75-$150. Shat myself when i saw the actual prices. I think i'll be sticking with the controller for now.

This. The only cheap wheel i found for ps3 was some crappy brand they had at target around christmas time for $50 but wasnt compatible with most games.

I think Dick Smiths had a logitech on special a few weeks ago but it had the accelerator and brake on the wheel and wasnt wireless despite saying so on the box.

I find im better with controllers than the wheel for most racing games, if it was Daytona USA then i'd be tempted to spend some big bucks on a decent wheel

I'm thinking of making a compromise here, and just going for one of the older Logitech models that don't come with the accelerator and brake components.

For around 100 bucks, there seems to be a few options where you can at least have the wheel, and use either "flappy panels" behind the wheel or the normal PS3/XBOX controls for acceleration/braking etc.

400 + is just ridiculous for a gaming component that doesn't "go" with every game.

This is a great store for the serious racer.

Those Fanatec wheels are the best mass produced wheels made using a belt instead of teeth for the force feedback.

Love the PC one dressed in yellow and black.:D

Pretty much sucks when we pay double of everyone else even when our dollar is good.

Goes for pretty much everything.

Alot of crooks here and tightarses.

I've been tempted to get one as well. I've seen Logitech wheels (wheel only) for ~$100. I don't think I'd like having pedals as well, they would need to be firmly attached to the floor or in a specially made unit. **** going to that much effort.
