Who do you guys think can/will step up in 2015 and have somewhat a breakout year ?

With a full pre season you have Mitchell , Rohan , Tippett etc etc.

I have been a massive fan of Hewett and think he can really come on in 2015 with his 2nd Pre season. His inside and outside game is very good , kicks very well on both sides and his clearance/tackling game is also very good.

Really Poor GF ( not alone ) and looked shocked on the big stage but I think Rohan can step up with finally a full pre season and more time spent with the defence group in the off season. Showed good signs in the PF and in short burst in previous games , might need some work on skills but that will come.

Finally I know its his first year and has big wraps but I really think Heeney could be one of them first year kids that can have a big impact in his first year IF he can break in.
Seen him a few times now and the kid is a jet so lets hope he can step it up to the elite level.

Mitchell is another but we all know what he is capable of at AFL level unlike Hewett/Heeney which have yet to show but I think will.

Smoky is Robinson.

I did say Reid last year and look how that turned out.

I hope Xavier Richards emerges, but I think you will see Parker become truly elite and potentially win the Brownlow.
I think Heeney will play rd 1 and dominate from the get go, get on for rising star.
My smokey is Biggs provided he stays at the club.

I said Cunningham was the smokey for last year and I was bang on the money. This year I'm going with BJ to break back into the team after a huge preseason and step up to a solid year as a small crumbing forward. Macca will go back to cover Mal's old role. Mitchell will get more time in the mids with Jack/McGlynn working forward as goal kicking mids to add more defensive pressure. Goodes will spend more time as an outside mid using his burst speed and skills but will go forward to upset opposition team balance. Shaw will battle for position with Jones. Rohan will have a reasonably solid year but will continue to drop the ball under pressure. Jack will step up a notch with an injury free preseason. Our defence will rely more on Reid as he becomes primarily a tall defender able to swing forward when called upon, provide an outlet mark or pinch hit in the ruck. Buddy will be given more licence to roam and we'll look towards Hawthorn's multi pronged attack using Tippet in a similar way to Roughy. Lloyd will suffer 2nd year blues and will spend some time in NEAFL or as sub as he works through the extra attention that will come to him this year. Other young guys will get chances from injuries or resting players but may be tried in a number of positions. Would like to see Jones play more as we could use the extra toughness. Pyke will need to be managed this year as we're still overly dependent on him. Parker to take his game to Brownlow heights. McGlynn to realise that it's not enough to get to the GF and will be an even angrier mouse this year. Expect him to spend 4 weeks out to injury and 3 for suspension.

Parker will either win the Brownlow or slip to an average 17 disposals a game as he begins to learn how to play with a tag. This will allow Mitchell and Hanners to have outstanding years as well as Kennedy doing his thing.

Hopefully the leaders can actually lead instead of assigning blame to everyone else like mcpoint does

Reid and Jetta, lulz not really. Mitchell for sure.

Haha writing off their 2015 season already :p

No but seriously taking out the GF Jetta actually had quite a good season he stood up in the QF against Freo in what was his best game in 2years.

Reid is well Reid being played out of position(what ever that is) but looked ok against North in the prelim has been carrying cartilage damage through the season which i imagine is not pleasant.

As for the rest well we will need across the board improvement if we are to make it to the big dance again.

Despite his excellent season, I reckon Buddy will turn it up a notch next year. Now has a season's worth of swans experience under his belt which means he won't start with a splutter like this year (hopefully)

Also, it'll be fun watching the Kennedy and Mitchell show smash the contested footy next year

He is a better footballer around the ground
Just with less kicks, handballs, marks, clearances, contested marks, one percenters, and every single measure of performance around the ground except tackles.

And hitouts.

It is really annoying when you guys sit on the fence.

If you have something just say it and stop dithering.

We won a few games with Derickx in the side so maybe it doesn't matter. He dropped a metric shit ton of easy marks though, if he fixed that he'd be pretty decent.

Better efficiency and better skills

Not all about stats, watch the game

I also predicted he would go past, which means he is currently behind

Neither are much good

If he got the extended run in the side Pyke has im sure he could get going, he uses the ball better doesnt just handball to someone running past every time

Pykes tapwork is ineffectual at times, too one dimensional imo

But as i said Pyke is number 1, the question was who could improve, drex could become number 1 just an opinion based on an eye test not just reading the stat sheet
