LMAO Thats a great quote!
I wonder what Kingy's wining average is. Hmmmm I'm not sure if that makes sense... hopefully it does. :)
Yeah it makes sense, the amount of wins we have had when he has played compared to when he hasnt.
I dont think it will be as high as first thought, since he would have played injured a lot in games we lost, but had little impact.
Maybe or winning record when he his near fully fit, and able to have an influence. but how the hell could we figure that out.

Seriously even if available would we even bother with a player like Loo cuss.
A lot of the time he just does'nt perform.
Still it would give us someone else to pick on and then Charlie wouldnt be so popular.
IMO Kingys best days could well be behind him but if he can stay fit I think he is an essential part of our team.

I believe Kingy on last round was invaluable. It is a matter of getting onto the park but if her does then just his size is imposing.

Only bad thing about him was that I saw him at the Elephant and Wheelbarrow Saturday night getting on it. Looks as though he loves his pints!!!

I don't see that as a problem. Surely they are permitted to have a beer to celebrate a win?

I've been told from a player that Bomber has no rules in relation to drinking. Just be careful, don't do anything stupid in the public eye.

I think it is a wise move.

Wasn't he terrific last night (not), great captains game (not), oh wait a minute, whats that, injured calf, may miss next week, team structure will have to change again.

OK, lets keep going down that road because it will surely lead to a flag, I mean whats another 43 years of mediocraty between friends.

a rabble, the captain gone again, 100 point losses and the players constantly fighting on field.

a flag? what a joke of a side really. I would expect this from the likes of Carlton, thats how bad we are going atm.

King will not improve. His best is behind him. He should stay on the list but not as our captain. We need someone who will lead by example and is on the park. How many good games will he play in a year between injurys??

That cuts deep, really deep but it's true. :(

As for Kingy being captain. I think we can say what we like about who should be captain and who shouldn't but at the end of the day we don't really see what goes on behind the scenes and who the great leaders are. We just need to trust that Kingy and the boys are doing the right thing in terms af the captaincy.

Come on Jess!

Has King ever struck anyone as a captain in the mould of Buckley, Voss, even little Jimmy Hird?

King always seems hesitant, softly - softly, and a bit dopey to me. No steel in his eyes. No flint in his voice. No presence in the way he carries himself.

They must test for leadership at the draft camps - why do we end up with none when we have always needed it so badly.

Lack of leadership was why we have lost our last 4 GFs. We have plenty of media performers, but not many leaders of men. If we draft for them, where are they? Are they swallowed up in the culture?
