We still haven't found that shut down back man to stop blokes like Milne and Betts and this bloke is the best of them all. 2012 is the first year of our grand plan to play finals football and this guy knows what it takes.

I think we pick him up in the PSD as no other clubs are showing any interest in him and he'll play for match payments he's so keen to prove St Kilda wrong.

Thoughts?
 
If we were verging on finals then he could be our Steven Sziller but after a year we would be left with a bloke who people would be crying out to be delisted.

Sziller played a role in a finals year and thats where Baker would be of value.

Frawley used to call him 'Dirty filthy mongrel rat'. Must be so great to have a Bumpkin for a coach.
 
Club announced his retirement and got up Bakers nose as he had no intention of retiring. Missed the B&F over it so he must have been miffed.

He was essentially delisted but wants another go somewhere.

stevy baker is one of my favourite non richmond players, he's your classic hard nut footballer, it would be good to have another one at our club

I see where you are going with this, but, because of personal hatred for the filthy sniper i hope he stays retired. Kudos to Lyon on that one. I never wished injury on any player bar two. And they were Libba and this dirty prick. I can feel the venom coming to my finger tips as i think about him.
On the Blumpkin thing, fantastic. Does it look anything like a young kid from Indiana getting of a greyhound bus, then you hear a guitar, and some dude says "you know where you are?", "you're in the jungle baby......" Didn't know Glenn Campbell wrote that one!!

No. The guy can't kick to save himself which goes against one of our main recruiting criterias.

Besides, I think Kane Johnson still has nightmares running away from an angry Steve Baker...

You mean the time when Kane accidently headbutted SNipers elbow off the ball? Yeah Suger should have been more careful.

During the 80's and 90 Glen Campbell was a drug and alcohol infueled mess but why he was in The Betty Ford Clinic he actually ghost writed half of The Gunners and Motley Crews catalogs . He actually wrote Mr Brownstone while he was on a severe course of laxatives .
 
He's coming on TWR in a few minutes, fingers crossed for a big announcement involving the RFC. We can only hope... :cool: :footy: :cool:
 
His main case would be he has plently of successful experience and knows what a great side is.

Doesn't have any off-feild baggage and can play his role.

The downside is if he gets suspended for a length amount of time he's a waste of space.

Fevola is cancer.

Everyone who has worked with him, ends up hating him.

I don't even think Jonathan Brown has anything to do with him anymore, and they lived together for a period.

That may be the case, but he has more upside for us than Baker!!! It highlights how pointless a Baker pick up would be!!!

It would be different if we where Geelong and we had goldilocks as our back pocket!!!

At least Baker could offer us a few games and experience, where Fevola will offer us a few games and hurt the image of the club.

Nah, St. Kilda said he and 3 other retired, when at the point they didn't even know they would be delisted.
 
We have so many half back flankers and don't need anyone at his age. I have my faith in Morris (from what I've seen in videos) and Batchelor to take us forward for the next 5-10 years.
