Apparently has agreed to a one year deal with the club, on the condition that his body holds well and no major injuries. I read this in The Age i think on Friday. (I have no link)
Regardless of that, do you think it's a good idea that King plays for one more season?
I actually thought he was getting very close to father time, with myself expecting him to retire along with Max. I was anticipating that Micheal Gardiner would go on for one more year, with McEvoy getting more time in the ruck.
I am actually not sure about this. King will be 31 next year and already does look very slow and tired around the ground. King still does provide a good contest in the ruck. However, the days of ruckmen getting 30 hitouts, but providing little around the ground are just about finished. Rucks have to be another possession winning like midfielder almost. Then King does have a long injury history, although this has improved with his time at the Saints and under the guidance of fitness regime of David Mission.
King going on one more year? Yes or No?
