Prob dont need another mid. Although when he's fit he's a gun but atm he's just a Mclean.

I don't think we should go after him. He is very good but not the type of player we need. Obviously if we could get him for nothing (or very little) you would take him but that is not going to happen.

The general consensus amongst port fans is that he's a very god inside mid that was notoriously played out of position by choco. Most fans like him because he's a good club man (may sound hypocritical given the rumours of him wanting to return to vic). Played in the right position, he's a gun. His main problem is he's only ever had one injury-free season, and who knows how many full pre-seasons if any.
