Crameri - Chapman

Kicks: 7.4 - 13.2
H/Balls: 5.9 - 7.1
Disposals: 13.4 - 20.3
Clearances: 0.2 - 2.6
Marks: 4.2 - 4.6
Goals: 1.8 - 1.6
Tackles: 2.1 - 4.4

Ok I was wrong Crameri gets 0.2 extra goals a game.
Crameri only played 8 more games than Chapman in 2013.
Lets face it, Chapman goes in the middle with 78 clearances compared to Crameri's 9, yet still matches Crameri up Forward, if not beats him, while there much less % of time.
Chapman puts pressure on the opposition, Crameri still needs to learn what forward pressure is.
Chapman is miles ahead of Crameri. But if you think otherwise well good luck.

I'm not sure why Chapman is even coming into this. Chapman is also 7 years older than Crameri. Is it at all possible that people are trying to justify almost certainly losing a relatively young proven player who could and likely still has his best days ahead of him, just because they are likely getting a 32 (as of next month) year old who is 5 years past his prime and one soft-tissue injury away from retirement?
I'm not doubting that Chapman will bring a lot to Essendon in regards to culture, experience and purely on-field performance, but irrespective of statistics there's no way that swapping Crameri out and Chapman in will be beneficial to Essendon at all, as there isn't a great difference in what they'll provide in a similar role, and Chapman may only have 2 years left - Crameri could have 7 or 8 (probably less given his history of injuries, but he's a late starter so who knows).

Here are our KPP try and fit them all in a team, by Gumby and Crameri wanting out works out pretty well for us, as we will have cap room to fit in Chapman and push out Davey.

Fletcher / Hooker / Pears
Hurley / Carlisle
Bellchambers / Ryder
Crameri / Daniher / Gumbleton

Slightly off-topic with what I was saying, but yeah, Essendon at the moment are flush with good quality talls. I'd sell my soul to see Carlisle in the RW&B. Hurley could take the comp by the scruff of the neck if he could stay out there. Bellchambers and Ryder are good dependable ruckman that occasionally show flashes of brilliance, and the backline of Fletcher/Hooker/Pears is quite dependable, as much as the latter two cop it for being exposed by freak athletes such as Franklin.
Daniher will take some time, but he could be as good as/better than any of them.

We think we are pretty well off with KPP's, but crap with small forwards, hence why I don't believe Crameri is a big loss, opens up cap space for Chapman and we can bring Daniher straight in for Crameri, on top of that we may end up with pick #22.
So I am of the thinking if we get Chapman & #22 and lose Crameri it would be a win win for both clubs. no complaining from me.
