We have to stick with them. Don't let your head go down, we have a young team and we're going to get flogged when it doesn't work.

We just need to stay with them. It's going to be a long season, just like 2006.

Any more cliches you could squeeze in there?

yer i remember when i was about 8 around the 2000 era, when i went to windy hill one of the Essendon coaches said that times will not always be this good so we have to prepare for the times when we rebuild and are down.....

I'll always stick by them, will be at next weeks game, where I'm hoping for a win. :thumbsu:

Maybe because I started supporting the Bombers in 1974, so had to endure 10 years of losses before A GF, makes me more tolerant & not one to scream & yell & call for the heads of players & coach.

I am confident, that by the end of the year, barring anymore bad injuries, there will be a huge improvement, ready to carry on next year. :thumbsu:

Yeah I will because I think that the base is there, we just need the younger guys to get some experience and grow a bit more. Oh well, what's happening now will make the good times even better when they come back again.:thumbsu:

travelling all the way from nth queensland to see them against Richmond. my mrs is a tiger fan.... at the start of the year i was thinking "Yeah great, book me in for a clear Essendon victory" but now I am scared. ah well, still will be fun.

Correct. The late 1970's were woeful. Tim Watson's & Terry Daniher's arrivals started the turnaround.

As a generalisation, I'd say it's our more recently joined fans, say from 2000 onwards that are more likely to be the ones sticking the boots in to the players, coaches, the board etc. Plenty of experts out there who know how to play with a mouse on a keypad rather than kick a football.

we'll be right. it's not like we have an old list with little or no talent coming through. on the contrary, we have a heap of potential on the list from the last three drafts, and so far it looks like they can pretty much ALL play. what we don't have is much in the 75-150 games range. Until we get Myers, Pears, Lonergan etc to 50 games, it will be difficult, but this year you will literally see the forming of our next highly rated side. get on board.

Its next years membership numbers I am really worried about, as people start to jump off the bandwagon. I think we will go down to about 32 000 :( Which will be a real shame after cracking the record 40k

Me too. We all have to stick together and show support.

Will always stick with em. Will be there next week to cheer em along just as I will the week after!

What annoys me isn't the fact they're a young team in a learning curve. What annoys me is that they lack a lot of the core disciplines teams should have.

Yes I know there's a lot of kids in the team but there are in every team! It's no excuse to lose. Perhaps the Port game was different as there were 3 debutants but that's about it.

Any kid who walks out should be ready for AFL level or they shouldn't be there.

The problem with the Bombers is they just don't man up. They're lazy. I'd think that if in training they let their player get away from them they should have to do a lap.... on the spot. No questions asked. They would quickly learn about accountability.

You know what really gruts my gears....

Its that Keplar Bradely Had a good game yesterday.

21 possies and a goal, even though I only saw 5 minutes of yesterdays game I still feel gutted, also missing out on Palmer in the draft I feel a bit off set about that too.

Unless one of em' get a brownlow I won't feel too Peeved.

I hope you weren't one of the people alway calling for him to be got rid of. same as Teddy Richards, these young players get made scapegoats when we don't perform, then if they go on & do well at their new clubs, those same supporters crack the sads because the club got rid of them.

The club is damned if they do & damned if they don't.

I only joined BF a few weeks before Kep got Delisted, I was pretty Piss off'd about it, but I got over it pretty quickly.

Teddy Richards was a bit unlucky to be dropped as well.

Yeah, cmon people, get behind our team. This will sort out whos a fair dinkum supporter and whos not.
We have a lot of young kids who stood tall for 3 quarters, but we just tired in the end. Give these boys a couple more big pre seasons to get bigger tanks and we'll go pretty well.

Tears through the tough times, cheers through the good times.

2011 Grand Final, Ryder kicks it out of the square to Hille on the 50 who handballs it to Houli, he runs with it and gives it off to Lovett the speed machine, he lobs it into the forward line up goes Neagle who marks about 40 out, sees Gumby ahead and pops it over, he plays on and kicks the goal... siren goes... Essendon win.

Yeah who knows what will happen. We have had a bad few last few months but most of the team has been out of form. Its funny what can happen in such short periods of time. When we had our kids playing the NAB cup at the start of the year alot of teamswas impressed with our kids. What happened

Seems to me lke we are over possessing the ball. 3 possies to get it from 50 out to 40 out.
