At a Spirit of Carlton function here Sticks said that he would have loved to have kept Fev but the club did all it could for him and that the public didn't ever hear the half of his transgressions

For me it's pretty simple.

The best player ever to wear the Carlton jumper. By far my favourite player of all time.

Hind sight is a wonderful thing ... not sure there would be too many intelligent Blues supporters who have not noticed that giving Fev the boot was probably the catalyst to the club's culture being turned around.

That is not to say that Fev was the be all and end all of everything but the line in the sand was drawn by his Brownlow performance, the booze cruise and the underwear crown casino incident.

Since then the players have turned over a new leaf, put their heads down and seem to want to do whatever is required for #17 which is all we can ask.

At the time I was on the fence myself ... most of us probably were ... it was a ... God he's a great player ... but geez he's really messed up this time and if the club does nothing we look like amateurs situation.

Club took the right stand, a number of supporters spat the dummy but everything turned out roses.

Whether Sticks was behind the decision when it was made is irrelevant, he may have been on the fence as well ... personally I would like to know who was a yeah and who was a nay ... not to point a finger but rather to send them all a present!

Yes I know that ... I am just saying that those 3 incidents and how the club handled them turned our culture around.

Although Fev was not at the booze cruise I am sure the remnants of his influence was.

The club exiling 1AW, Houlihan and Betts for the casino incident and sending them on that gruelling boxing thing was the icing on the cake.

Don't tell me you cannot see how much more united and professional the team as a unit have been the last couple of years.
