No I didn’t. I said they shouldn’t lose a game if you go back to when I first posted about the season. I said if they didn’t win the flag it was a monumental choke.

Dont put words in my mouth. I couldn’t care for the comp, you’re right. I think its a carnival type competition. And you’re also right, I dont get the hype around the premiership. Personally it does absolutely nothing for me. We are still shit, until we push for an AFL flag, IDGAF. Dont @ me

You can enjoy it? Others can enjoy it? Im not preventing anyone from enjoying it. If thats the level we have sunk to, that we are riding an AFLW flag to soothe the AFL disaster then folks are more damaged than I first thought.

You going to take the week off and celebrate? My family wouldn’t see me for days if we won another flag.

You're hilarious sometimes DuckYeah

Someone should write a sit-com where a Collingwood microbrewery gets great exposure after the women's team it sponsors wins the premiership, but then one of its directors notices that two players were seen drinking a different brewery's beverage in public, and hijinks ensue when they attempt to escalate their concerns through the hierarchy of said football club.
 
On the beer...

Not a massive lager fan myself, but I note SG's paley cracked the top 25 beers in the hottest 100 Aussie craft beers last year, so I'll have to put it on the list.

As a quick digression... I have a fair bit of LSL accrued, and there was a time not so long ago I was thinking about using it to do my master brewer cert as a career change option. Not sure the profit margins are there to make it more than a labour of love though.

💯 feel the same way. Great for the girls and for all who enjoyed the win but I find it unwatchable. I've got no doubt with all the young girls playing now the standard will get better.

agree re career path which is why iam strictly an amateur brewer, having said that i do know a couple of blokes bootlegging. think the going rate is something like 40 bucks a corny fill.

the unfortunate thing is that by every team fielding a team the pool of better players has been exhausted, going to take a LOT of people to pull the boots on to increase the player pool, crickets teams quality is better due to smaller roster sizes and fewer teams,

It'll take a while but there's thousands of young girls playing footy and loving it. Might take ten to fifteen year's but I think the standard will Improve dramatically. The AFL also need to look at some more modifications to make it more viewer friendly, ground size and team numbers are probably the obvious ones.

Yeah. Having said that, there are a few instances of local brewers whose brands have become households names over the past decade. I just haven't worked out what codes they had to crack to make it happen. I don't hate the idea of making a great beer that I market relentlessly for 3 years before Kirin pays me a fortune to hand the name over.

Unfortunately theres a dozen breweries that go belly up for every one that gets taken over with a favorable buyout, and seems to be fewer as time goes on.

I’m guessing the 2nd batch also sold out pretty quickly. I had a look before and it was in stock, just checked then and all sold out. Good news for Stomping Ground and a nice start for the sponsorship but not so good if you just missed out.
