Strange Addiction ???

Whats the weirdest/strangest addiction you have had??

Food? Drink? A particular collection?? What ??

Mine is going to BUNNINGS!! 3 times a week....Just for a look usually... I cant help it....

My missus reckons ive got a problem !!!

For about 10 months I had a strange addiction to Milo. I'd eat heaped spoonfuls of plain milo on it's own. I'd eat half a dozen Milo bars (best chocolate bar ever!) each week. Milo icecreams.......everything MILO!!!!
I've always liked Milo, but I don't know why I was addicted to it so much for that period of time. I rarely have it now.:confused:

Not so strange, you were probably iron deficient. My wife used to be (iron deficient) and ate Milo all the time. It is a docemented fact that you crave what you need. I have three doctors as rellies so I can say I know.

I'm with you on that. I used to hate it, but it came on gradual. I drank it with pineapple or strawberry juice mixed in. Then the hard stuff - all by itself - no mixers. Now, it tastes sweet to me. Not sour or bitter. As a matter of fact, other juices taste too sweet. Gimme the G-froooot.
 
We go through 8 - 10 litres of Grapefruit Juice a week in this household. Mostly drunk by my father - Just the thought of it makes me wince, but every now and then I'll have a little bit (eg if there is no Apple Juice or OJ left in the fridge!)


Eastenders. I am absolutely addicted to that show. Have been for as long as I can remember. My family know not to bother me while it is on, even though I have a fair idea of what is going to happen as we are a few years behind in the series over here. I organise the cooking of dinner around the show, or if I have to be out that night I organise getting my son to school in time the next day so I can catch the 8.30am replay. Being an expat-pom Lady Lawrence still has rellies living in London. Her mum sends her monthly tapes of the shows on air over there, and only a few weeks ago I had a full on fix of 6 hours straight of Eastenders whilst lying on her couch for the afternoon.

I used to be addicted to Eastenders when it was on ABC at 6.30 about 10 or 15 years ago. I think I am addicted to The Bill nowadays. No matter how crap it gets I have to see it. I also had withdrawal symptoms when The Office finished a couple of weeks ago.


The strangest addiction I have heard of is a girl I know who is addicted to waxing. Really enjoys it and often falls asleep while they are applying and pulling off the wax.
 
I love grapefruit juice. I also have an addiction to coffee. But the great news is that last month I kicked my biggest addiction - cigarettes.:)

Not trying to be a smart A, DonFan, but you should know that not smoking for a month, does NOT constitute overcoming a nicotine addiction. IMO, 3 months after the last smoke is the most dangerous time for getting back on them. Even 9 months later, you're not safe. Good luck though, in your ongoing battle with the sneakiest addiction of all.

My wife developed an all-consuming passion for oranges during her first pregnancy. Drove me crazy, to the extent that I couldn't stand the smell of the things. Couldn't eat an orange for about five years after.

Well - it's the longest I've ever gone without a cigarette since I started the habit and I haven't really had a craving except for when I drink coke or coffee so here's hoping. :)

8-10 cans of Diet Coke per day. I also have trouble sleeping.

Good point re Bunnings. Went there to buy a $4.00 item, spent $150.00 on other things, and nearly forgot the item I went there for:p Happens all the time when I go there:D :(
