Super idea by the club.

2000 supporters pay $299 and get their name printed on the Round 20 guernsey.

If the cost price is $110 then the club will make $189 for 2000 names. Which means that this initiative would net the club more than $350,000. Pretty much the price of one of the stupid home games we sold in Darwin/Cairns.

Great thinking RFC, and a great way to get people involved + create an extra source of revenue.

Pretty much all clubs are doing this now - We had a similar initiative for the original FTF guernsey - hopefully the idea isnt repeated every year, otherwise the whole premise will be cheapened... Very temping though!

It is tempting but I just wonder when the next version of this will come out? Will it be a more special occasion? Will it be better value? Like WATiger said, it could happen every second year which would be a shame.

According to the RFC website, you also get sent a jumper:

For $299, your name will be included on the Round 20 guernsey and you will be sent a Strong and Bold Guernsey to keep.

Whenever I see someone wearing the yellow and black verticals I think I throw up in my mouth a little.
