The field of contenders for Adelaide’s seventh coach since its start-up season in 1991 is already vast and varied — former Crows captain Simion Goodwin, Port Adelaide and Hawthorn premiership player Stuart Dew who is an assistant coach at Sydney, former Brisbane coach Michael Voss, Geelong premiership coach and current Essendon stand-in mentor Mark Thompson and Collingwood assistant coach Scott Burns, who missed the job in 2012.

As I said earlier. There is no way you sack a bloke and have to pay out 2 years if you don't have someone already lined up. If Dew is it, he is already gone. I highly doubt it though.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but one of the 'extremely reliable posters' is footywedge who has only made 13 posts in total since joining bigfooty, all but two of them made tonight since Sando was sacked. He literally said he had nothing other than "Stuart Dew - remember the name". I hope that isn't your source?

Reliable posters... the same ones that expected everyone to have FAITH that their opinions were fact when the Tippett trade was done?? List every available coach known to man and hope one of those predictions come true... When they do u are the messiah right?

I'll settle for Dewy & Rok heading over if Dew gets the senior head coach gig. I reckon it'll be Goodwin, ROK an assistant.... frees up Bomber Hird combo that way. Maybe Rok comes with Dew or Goody goes with Bomber but I can't see it myself. Suppose we'll just hav2 wait & see.

Either way, I don't care - if the Crows want him, they are welcome to him just like Ross Lyon was with St Kilda in 2006. Assistants are always free to accept to senior positions to further their careers.

I personally can't see an ex-Port player going to the Crows with Roo involved in the decision when Dew was part of the Ramsgate Hotel Brawl

Yes he did but the Swans did assure Dewy that if a senior coaching job suddenly became available the Swans would not stand in his way.

There is also a rumor circulating that Martin Mattner could be headed back to the Crows as an assistant coach. Some more interesting information that is doing the rounds is that Ryan O'Keefe and his wife were spotted having dinner with Noble and his wife. Could ROK be headed to the Crows?

the rumor about Stewie stems from the fact some dickhead suit from adelaide FC was up here in the days preceding Slops sacking.

From what i've been able to find out said dickhead was indeed up here.

Get that I don't have runs on the board but I'm going to come right back here when announced. Member since 2011 and hardly posted... Wonder if that's coz I would only share real information?
