Sub situation this week

Just a random thought re the sub situation this week v St Kilda.

I would love to see Jordie McKenzie play against the saints - the saints will come out all guns blazing, and our clearance work and tackling pressure will be crucial - which is where Jordie would be fantastic.

But, considering he's only played one VFL game and 1/2 a VFL reserves game this year, he could easily hit the wall in the second half - meaning we could sub him off for a quicker player (Wona, Bennell or even Blease) to use their pace against the Saints in the second half when, hopefully, we break the game open.

Give it to Blease just cos. An quarter of AFL might teach him alot.

Yep... given our dire situation with injuries, we almost have to bring in someone who might be slightly underdone. Hence the sub will be chosen from McKenzie, Blease, Evans or Gawn - whoever gets a game among them anyway.

Play Gawn but put a midfielder as the sub to take over when he's buggered in the third quarter.

He'd want him in the VFL, the more midfielders we promote the worse Casey's midfield gets.

He should play, he's a member of our best 22 and was one of the best players he should be in the side because of those facts not by some guess work that he may be underdone because he has only played 2 matches, it should be a no brainer.
