Why are players playing at a ground that has become the home for knee injuries. Nick davis was one example and it is lucky that the doctors think he has jarred his knee which won't require a reconstruction. I am glad I am not an eagles or dockers player.

The unregistered coward does have a point. There are far too many knee injuries at Subi. The stadium is just fantastic but they need to do something with the playing surface like core it and dress it with peat to soften the ground up.

The unregistered coward does have a point...

Although how many WC and Freo players have suffered knee injuries? Is it higher than other Clubs?

If that were the case there wouldn't be a decent ground in Victoria

Hawkforce- it seemed bad a couple of years ago, when Jako, Whoosha, Bluey and crew all seemed to get injured knees, but in truth only Jaks was at Subi. We did OK in terms of knees last year (touch wood), so no, I dont think we and the dockers are -on average- any worse than other teams.... Not entirely sure on the Dockers knee tally last year though...

I agree about the knees.
But if Subi was banned, i could only go to the bloody waca to see my footy ... who wants to go there? (subi is bad enough, lol j/k)

Subiaco was completely re~turfed four years ago.
The grass is a couch that develops quite a substantial thatch during a year and has only recently been verticut (de-thatched).
This has made the surface harder and has less grip. Saturday was quite strange conditions for Perth with high temperatures and high humidity. It caused condensatation resulting in a slippery surface and slippery ball.
The grass will be significantly longer by April resulting in a much softer and less slippery surface.

and while theyre fixing up the surface, maybe they can improve the catering too, so that we wont have to miss half a qtr while lining up for a beer and a half cooked meat pie while watching an ansett game with a half filled stadium.
total joke.

I agree the catering is appalling, I dread to think what it's going to be like when the real season starts. One thing you guys are lucky for, you don't have to queue up the toilets, I won't even start on how inadequate the ladies loos are there. Well guess I just did.

If you buy your ticket before the game, you don't have any problems getting in before the game starts, you should be used to buying your ticket ahead, because that is what you have to do here.

I reckon!
It's too far away and a bugger to get to by public transport.
Which tram goes to Perth?

Subiaco too far away? Thats a bit of a strange call considering it's only about a 5 minute from the center of Perth and that it's easily accessable by train and bus.
