yeah the freo board has a thread stating that it's fact, hmmmm its an interesting development, if i was him tho to further my career id go east, but he thinks he'll be fine there so lets see what happens

Probably a good move for both parties.

He wants to be a senior coach, and achieved all he could with us. Been midfield and forward coach in his time.

This also good for us, and I think the partnership with Woosha went stale and would be good for fresh ideas.

Why?

We didn't want him as our head coach, we were caught short on the asst coaching front in 2011.

I'll happily welcome him- plus we now have your structures for next time we play.

If Lyons was a smart guy, he wouldn't trust or take seriously anything Suma would say about our game-plan.

Furthermore, I thought you guys had the eternal wood over us in derby's?

Gee Moo, if you need Sumich to enlighten you about our structures and you havent alredy figured them out yourself , then your coaching team are in serious trouble. ;)

Surprised.

Wonder if he approached Freo or they approached him. Maybe we wanted to elevate Burns or Walsh to 2IC and Suma decided it was time to move on.

Or maybe Freo just made a better offer.

Wouldn't mind seeing us chase Scott Watters as a replacement for Suma.

Regardless of what people say, he will be a big loss for us. Midfield coach at our peak and now forward coach which has been performing nicely this year. For him to be a senior coach though he probably needs a fresh start.

WTF, was not expecting this :(

Congrats to Suma, he built our awesome midfield from the 02-07 era and then built our current power forward line.:thumbsu:

Who will replace him :confused:
