So many just small moments that last 3 minutes. Treacy back was correct, hes won us a couple games thisnyear with saving marks. He slept for 1 second not reading the ball had been kicked and he was done.

Cox is nothing but unlucky, impossible to know Swallow had dropped it. Gets called 50/50.

Bolton tackled gets called 25% of the time, its closer to a free kick than that horseshit Voss got called.

Playing the clock was what every single team in the AFL does. Inexcusable for Uwland of all players to mark it.

The bottom 6 just ****ing murdered us. At least that can be an easier fix than your top few. Some Suns also had the game of their lives in Davies and Humphrey's. Rowell was incredible.

I want to be angry but just numb. Gold Coast where fantastic, the boys showed amazing grit just a couple of 50/50 moments down the stretch. I dont have anything to be mad about except supporting Freo.

'The bottom 6 just ****ing murdered us'

100% But are we smart enough to rectify that? Pretty hard to even getted dropped at Freo.

The goal assist stat is very interesting that game.

10 Freo goal assists for 12 goals total
5 Suns goal assists for 11 goals total

More than half of the Suns goals didn't have a possession before the goal. Amazing.

Willing to be almost all were in the 2nd quarter. Too often the ball was knocked on past them or players kept losing their feet

I don’t believe we would have gone further than a win tonight, I’m just sad about how many predicted the AFL would be pushing for a QLD derby. I just can’t understand their fixation with entertaining a market that will never be as passionate as us
Soon as a knew that Lions couldn't back, the AFL would want an all Queensland final. I posted it first.

Sometimes you wish that you wrong.

We had a good year. 16 wins which is enough for top 4 most years. Unearthed two legends in Murphy Reid and Pat Voss. Had some stirring away wins. Fwdline began to click for the first time under Longmuir. More positives than negatives overall.

Tonight we paid for our failures in 2023 and 2024. Had we made the finals those years (like we should've) we'd have had the experience to draw on and overcome the Suns despite playing below our best. It also really highlighted the difference between a "good average" coach and a truly great one in Dimma. His ability to get the Suns up for this game and not be overawed by the occasion was pivotal. I am genuinely happy for the long-suffering Suns fans and will be barracking hard for them against the Lions next week.

Autopsy thread is far more balanced right now than I would've thought. That's a good thing I guess.

We never should've been only a goal up against Gold Coast with a few minutes to go in the first place. We never should've been 25 points down and trailing for most of the match.

For everything JL has got right his conservatism cost us in the end - Simpson, Johnson and Walker just should not have been in the paddock. Hope he learns.

Big game player. Number #1 re-signing priority this season
Been away from bigfooty because of work and spending time with the little one, but it's pleasing to see people on here have finally come around to Erasmus.

for a long time it was fnerd and myself. fne

really hope he stays, coming along very nicely

Watched the Andrew’s goal replay. Treacy on him, a mile behind
Wouldn’t have had that problem if Treacy just stayed forward and someone like Dudley/Bolton or god forbid Freddy was dropped back dragging their smaller opponent back with them instead of a 200cm long limbed marking player….

I wouldn't say JLo was out coached by Dimma. One thing that I think Dimma did identify and exploit was that our backline is dominant in the air but absolutely horrendous at ground ball gets. Other than Clark I have zero confidence in any of our defenders below their knees.

I suppose where does this leave Essendon now and finals wins drought to everyone else.

GC were the closest to them now they have won.

Essendon still stuck in 2004.

North Melbourne 2015 would be the closest now i suspect.

Rowell and Anderson were on top early. Jacko tried to jump over witts but he was too big. Needed Darcy in there from the first bounce.
When we went forward Amiss was deep and lost his first 4 contests to Collins. Things improved when voss went deep instead.
Playing Bolton from the goal square in the second half when he was one of our best in the first quarter didn't make any sense.

We were fumbly all game but the coaching wasnt great either. We had no run from the backline and our fwd pressure was non existent.

If our small forwards applied half as much pressure as Treacy we win easy. Freddy I'm looking at you...

They will take this hurt into next season. They need to embrace what they did do well this season - this new look Freo doesn’t give in
Didn't we say that in 2022?

I think it was Andrew that pushed forward and Treacy followed.
Nah, Bradshaw stayed in the post game interview that after the Dogga goal that they pulled the end of game lever and pushed Treacy back as the plus 1 which then forces Mac Andrews to follow…
