Basic Rules:
At the beginning of the game each player is given a 'role' at random and in secret (via PM) by the moderator.
The aim of the Villagers is to identify and kill all of the Werewolves and the other evil groups before the evil factions can kill enough villagers so that (# of e.g. Werewolves = # of Villagers). Only one faction can win.
How are players killed?
Each 'turn' of the game will last approximately 24 hours and also represents one 'day' of game time, thus a game will go on for several days before it is concluded. There are two 'phases' to every turn of the game;
Night Phase (7:00pm – 12:00am):When factions secretly decide among themselves, via PM communication, which Villager (one per night) that they shall kill and then inform the moderator via PM. Others with a Night action also enter their actions now via PM to the Mods. Decisions for the night phase are to be in no later than 9am.
Day Phase (12:00am – 7:00pm):After the results of Night actions have been announced, everybody, Villagers, Vampires, Werewolves and Mafia alike, discusses and ultimately votes publicly in the game-thread upon which player (one per day) that they shall lynch and kill. Votes for the day phase are to be in no later than 8pm.
Obviously during the day the Villagers will want the group to vote for and lynch an evil player, whilst the evil players themselves will want not to be lynched; herein lies the fundamental strategy of the game:
Can the villagers identify the evildoers whilst at the same time convincing the rest of the group that they're not evil? And can the evildoers convince the group that they're not evil at all and thus avoid being lynched?
Werewolf Etiquette:
There are two main rules which everyone must follow in order for the game to run successfully;
DEAD PLAYERS MUST LEAVE THE GAME
If you are killed at any point during the game then you are no longer allowed to participate although I will allow a farewell post, but that post cannot impact the remainder of the game.
THERE MUST BE NO PRIVATE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN PLAYERS EXCEPT WITHIN THE GROUPS LISTED BELOW
Except for the above-mentioned groups sending PMs between themselves, other forms of private communication concerning the game are not allowed.
Anyone caught sending screen captures of BigFooty of any kind in this thread will be mod-killed instantly with no warning.
Anyone caught quoting PMs from the mods will be mod-killed without warning.
Missing 2 lynch votes in a row or 3 votes in total will see you mod-killed. Missing 2 night actions (if given a role) will see you mod-killed. You may choose to not use a night action but you must state so in your PM.
For this game we will not be using the Reason for Lynching rule. Vote for anyone for any reason at any time during the Day Phase.
Voting:
During the Day Phase players must vote for whom to lynch, your vote must be formatted in bold like this: Player Name.
For this game you may not vote NO LYNCH.
Upon the voting deadline (end of day-phase) the votes will be tallied by the moderator and whoever has received the most will be lynched and be out of the game: remember, once killed you cannot take further part; do not reveal your roles to anyone until the game has been concluded.
Any ties in voting will result in both players being lynched.
ROLES:
Evil:
Koopas (Mafia):
Bowser (Godfather): The king of the koopas, the king of all evil. CANNOT be killed at night. He will have the chance to kill Mario in the final battle that will be decided by a coin toss via random.org.
Kamek (Right Hand Koopa): Will use his magic powers by seering each night.
Bowser Jr. (Roleblocker): He will help out his father by blocking someone from performing their nightly action.
Lakitu (Goon): The cloud dweller will assist with nightly kills.
Win condition: Eliminate WarioWare and the vamps and have more or equal players to the village.
WarioWare (WereWolves):
Wario (Alpha): Will carry out nightly seers and CANNOT be killed at night.
Mona (Beta): Will be promoted to alpha should Wario die.
Kat and Ana (Werecubs): The ninja twins will assist with nightly kills and will be represented by just one player.
Ashley (Blackmailer): This teenage witch will use her magic powers to blackmail someone each night to vote the way WarioWare want.
Win condition: Eliminate the Koopas and the vamps and have more or equal players to the village.
Vamps:
King Boo (Head Vamp): In alternating nights, he’ll be able to recruit someone to join his faction and kill the next night. Night 1 recruit, night 2 kill etc. If the SK is recruited, they will get 2 kills. He can recruit a maximum of 3 players and will die along with all of the converts if he is lynched/killed.
Win condition: Eliminate the Koopas and WarioWare and have more or equal players to the village.
Birdo (Serial Killer): Can make one kill per night and CANNOT be killed at night.
Win condition: Last until the final four regardless of who’s alive or win with the vamps.
Village:
Mario (Hero): His ultimate goal is to take down his enemies and to get Bowser. He has access to a mystery block each night which will contain an item to assist him.
Peach (Seer): The princess will be able to find out the role of one player per night.
Daisy (Fake Seer/Jobe): Will be made to believe that they are the real princess but will actually be fed INCORRECT information.
Luigi (Vig): Will help his brother and the village by making a kill each night.
Rosalina (Doc): A very powerful figure whose job is to watch over and protect the town. Will be able to protect one player a night. Can't protect the same player on consecutive nights.
Yoshi, Toad and Toadette (Flogs): Share a PM and know each other are innocent. Yoshi will have one night where he has access to kill and he can choose whichever night he wishes to make the kill. If Yoshi is killed before the kill is made, the flogs will no longer have access to this.
Toadsworth (advisor): His lynch votes are worth 2 and will be informed of who Mario and Peach are.
Villagers: Regular toads who possess no power.
Items:
Blocks:
There are four mystery blocks containing special items that assist Mario with his journey. He has access to 1 of them at night and the items will be decided by random.org. Each night phase, Mario will request to “open block…(1-4)” and will receive one of these items:
Red Mushroom: This will give Mario the power to seer.
1-Up Mushroom: This will give Mario an extra life, so if he’s killed/lynched, he will be able to return.
Fire Flower: If obtained, he will be able to burn someone of his choice to death.
Ice Flower: If obtained, he will be able to freeze someone and block their role.
Additionally, he will also have to guess a 4-digit number (he gets two guesses a night) that will enable him to access this…
Key: This will give Mario access the key to Bowser’s castle and will have the chance to kill him in the final battle that will be decided by a coin toss in the PM.
Invincible Star: Basically an amulet. This prevents the target from being killed that night or lynched the next day. Must be passed on each night and cannot be passed around a faction more than once. Will break once there are 6 players remaining.
Ideally, I will need at least 30 players for this one so, hopefully, you can join!
PS: People with demerit points are ineligible to play.
