The game was excellently devised, but once 3kz imploded there was no path left for evil. That's not the fault of the game design...that's just bad luck.

I'm cursed with the ability to see the probabilities.

If there's anything I've learnt after modding a stack of games now, it's that the best game mechanics you can ever think of will ALWAYS be thwarted by someone actually playing the game haha.

Yeah that part made me laugh so hard because 3KZ went hard at DP, and DP exploded back. 3KZ just missed the entire discourse we had the day before about powers suddenly becoming successful lol

I very much enjoyed you getting a villager lynched before going down

The funniest part is deep down I was thinking she's held off, but DP just digs her own grave sometimes. Plus PG was great about everything as well. As I said in the thread, she was dealt a rough hand coming in right as everything was imploding (I know she was all along technically) so made the best of it.

In 'Nothing's All You Get' game last year, within the thread Dero posted a message to Beaston to recruit Dank and we all laughed it off thinking it was just posted for a laugh

We had the vampires out themselves mid game and completely ignored it

It’s so easy to think the game is entirely about game design and logic of the players, but so much of it is dumb luck. N1 is a crapshoot and so often who dies and what they are give one group or other such an advantage.

What I like about this game is it really extends the thinking process. Everyone who has had unsuccessful action needs to think every day about whether that means they are legit village, or unaware. And by the end people are trying to work out how best to play for more than one win con.

Funny thing is by D2, the vig was dead. Both flogs were dead, the tracker was out. If you looked at that on face value evil is on top, the unknowns balanced it and then of course the whole NI saga.

This is so true - and why I am really curious to see this exact set of rules played out again. Particularly because this group of players have more insight about avoiding mistakes.

Village got screwed early virtue of dumb luck, but then a big mistake by evil swung it back to be in villages favour big time. Just a few different events and the outcome would be different. I’m reluctant to suggest tweaks to a very good format just on the basis of a clear win because it wasn’t the format that dictated a clear advantage.

I probably shouldn’t have stuffed around with the end game since I was stuffed either way. But I wanted to play it out and see how I might go with some bullshit. I’ve not been in that situation before

I had a crack last night trying to work out if there was a way for me to even the odds, since my win con could have been good or evil.

I kind of mangled it by going to bed early but I regret not pushing off the multi lynch

I'm over 50 and suffer chronic pain, so it's going to be a bit interesting. On the other hand the redundancy payment won't run out till September so I'm on holiday until at least April to get a proper rest in for the first time in ages.
