I don't like using the same player as a sub week in week out. Sub should be only used for players coming back from injury or introducing newish players to AFL.

We should rotate it every 3 weeks or so.

Ellis was sub early last year and it drove him to work harder and demand a spot.

Even White said it drove him to work harder.

The true value of the sub selection is giving someone a short term reason to work twice as hard. As long as they don't crack the shits like Nahas.

Foley should be starting in the team

I voted for Mcdonahue

This is the lad. Let's get round him. Will be a far superior footballer than White and Webberly.

This.

As Cevap said, I think the sub role should be given to the weakest/least fit player/most junior player in the 22 (unless we are playing a dead rubber in which case you can afford to rest a key player).

Like Matty White in 2013, if you impress as the sub, you should be able to earn and secure a starting spot in the 22 if the opportunity arises. That should be the reward for good performances/form.

I like the idea of giving McDonough a lot of games as the sub those to try and speed up his development - reports say he is very talented and only needs a few touches of the ball to make things happen. Would be good to get him involved in games while he builds up his fitness, confidence and experience.
