Does Gold seem to offer anything more than FF Genie?
I'm keen to play a Supercoach PRO live draft league with my mates - is this only available by subscribing for $20? If so, does EVERY player have to subscribe - or only the league administrator who can then invite people?
American sports fantasy leagues are primarily draft style and it is far better in my opinion. Like the idea of nobody having the same player in a league.
Mind you, it would be difficult to not have donuts in a 33 man squad considering an AFL side can only field 22 players.
Agree. Last year I did it via Ultimatefooty.com.au and we had 12 teams $30 each, draft night at a pub and it was amazing. To make it fair the squad size was 5back, 5fwds, 5mids, 1ruck, 2 utilities. Worked well. Dream team stats but I prefer supercoach. I guess you cant have the best of both worlds

). It's amazing how dominant the draft style format is in the states, whereas the salary cap format is almost non-existent. Considering the extra strategy involved I dare say the americans might be ahead of us in the fantasy sports department

I find draft-style lends itself to the bigger American leagues. To use NFL as an example, you can pick from 32 teams which means 32 starting QBs, 64-96 starting wide receivers, 32-48 starting running backs, etc. An AFL draft league would have to be limited to about eight teams or some custom structure with fewer positions on the field to be equivalent.
