Honestly wasn't a big fan of the 300th ep. Seemed like a filler & no real storyline tbh. Tried to cram too much into it and it didn't flow very well. Yeah, the John nostalgia was great, but I didn't overly enjoy the episode.

Yeah I normally skip the fillers as soon as I notice it's one however I got sucked into this one.

Nothing special but one of the more enjoyable fillers I've seen in a long time.

Anyone still watching this?? Just got very interesting!
Just caught up to end of S13

Now to binge S14 :D

Loved the Scooby Doo episode :D

I'm up to date. The final season is going to be epic!

Also met Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki at the All Hell Breaks Loose Convention at Melbourne Exhibition Centre on Saturday. They are cool down to earth guys, couldn't speak any higher of them :thumbsu:

Finally finished this show.

Was the only one that I decided to stick it through even though it should have wrapped up a long time ago. Hey, it's had it's moments but the levels of crazy they've had to go to each time it's been extended another couple of seasons... :D

Not a fan of the ending (ep before would have been a good way to finish) but the last couple of seasons were solid at least.

Overall, really enjoyable show with deep lore and glad to have stuck with it.

Stuck with the last few seasons Spudregus_87 ? :)

EDIT: As time has passed, the ending was rubbish and totally invalidated most of the show. Bit of HIMYM way to go out.

Dean's death was so pointless and such a lame way to go. Feel like a close experience where they decide to settle down or them both passing away when old would have been better.

I legit thought I was watching a filler ep so when he was dying I was expecting him to somehow pull through and even in Heaven I thought Jack or someone would send him back - I guess that's what 15 seasons of them being unkillable does :D

Yeah wasn't a big fan of the ending either. Imo there was waaaayyyy too much crammed into the last two episodes that could've easily been drawn out longer.

Last ep was a bit flat but I thought the underlying message was there - that for all the near misses the two had, it was God manipulating the narrative that ensures they’d always survive. As soon as he went, they lost that protection
Agreed, they had literal plot armour from Chuck. Once that was gone, they were as vulnerable as any other hunter which the show has made clear, generally don't grow old.

COVID restrictions would have meant we missed a number of things in the ending we could have had. Some more old faces would have come back if not for that, I'm sure.

Yeah, I was always hoping for Crowley to pop up at some stage in the last season.

if not for COVID reckon we would of gotten Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Samantha Smith in the ep

Finally finished the journey with these two lads, loved this show.

The final episode, well

Well didn’t see that coming, pretty annoyed by that tbh. Pointless imo

Don’t know if spoiler tags are needed but...

Very true but it’s not like Dean and Sam hadn't died a **** ton of times in the series anyway. I guess that is plot amour but it was also written into the show when Ash told Dean and Sam that they’ve died more times than anyone in Season 5 episode “Dark Side of the Moon”. There are plenty of deaths that we know about but also deaths during regular hunts like the one in the series finale. And Dean did tell Sam not to try to bring him back, which was always a possibility.

I know lots of people didn’t enjoy the series finale but for me, I quite liked it. Jensen did say that episode 19 would be a season finale and episode 20 the series finale. The series finale was always going to be an episode where they had nothing else to accomplish in the universe, so it was fine as a standalone MOTW episode, with a twist. Having Dean die first and Sam living his life with a family and then having the ending they did, was just the perfect way to finished the series IMO.
