Not really a superstition that is constant.... but when we played Freo in the QF, i went food shopping with the missus decked out in my crows gear before the game and will be doing the same tomorrow :thumbsu:

Sure to get some odd looks like last time..... nothing like stirring up the natives :D

My hubby hates anything remotely related to "culture".... but as his wife (ie. ME) was IN the performing arts industry he HAD to feign interest. Many a time I caught him napping during a performance... (of course, not when I was on stage!:D ). Many times I KNOW he took his little portable radio and earphones to listen to a game of footy (not ours). I didn't care really, just wanted him to get SOME exposure to culture other than footy. Of course nowadays ALL of our cultural exposure happens to BE footy (so his patience won out in the end).

I've managed to avoid going to one for many many years now. The last one I went to (yonks ago) was so boring that I kept sneaking out and going to the pub nearby for a beer.

By the end of the show I was half tanked and didn't have a clue what had happened in the bloody opera.

Best opera I've ever been to. :D

And my point is YOU need to wear HER down! By not going she's just going to be pissed off. By going she will start to make compromises down the track for things YOU want to do.

Well I have all my usual gear ready for tomorrow, lucky crows boxer shorts, lucky crows playing socks (which are starting to get holes in them :o ) and my two crows wristbands one for each arm. Will do the usual meet the mates in the car park for a drink or two and then meet at half time again. Also have my lucky socceroos visor I picked up in Germany which I wore to the Melbourne and Freo games so thats coming as well!

Oh and my lucky footy cant go without that either! Geez I carry a lot of crap I just realised! :D

Hey Jenny, now I have two people to blame, mum for buying tickets near the area we sat for the port showdown, grrr, and stiffy for being male! :p

Don't worry about next week if we get there as remember your last trip to Melbourne for the footy, "oh when the saints......" :D

Followed my superstition, I placed $50 on West Coast to win.

I did this a fortnight ago against Freo and last year in the Showdown Final against Port.

I so hope I lose this bet..:eek:
