Support for Geelong knows no bounds

Kelly Clarkson may just be the stroke of luck Geelong need to win this year's AFL grand final.

A huge sports fan, Clarkson is performing on tonight's Footy Show and has tipped a Geelong victory.

"I'm really into football in America so I asked to be updated when I got here" Clarkson said yesterday.

"I heard Geelong haven't won in 44 years. They're the major underdogs and I always go for the underdog. I sang for the World Series back home. The Boston Red Sox were playing and they ended up winning that year. I hope I'm good luck."

You mightn't like her music, but at least she has impeccible taste in picking sport teams to support.

But Port Adelaide beat us in Round 21 when we weren't missing anyone of note, they have 10 premiership players in their side and the current Geelong side were personally responsible for our previous grand final failures in 1967, 1989, 1992, 1994 and 1995.

At least if you believe everything posted on the main board that's what's happened.
