Wasn't it supposed to be appendicitis? If so, he surely needed surgery.
He flew to melbourne so a quicker oncoming thing like appendicitis sounds more likely.

I hope the club is being strict on water bottles etc

On the other hand they way we are going we should play Shuey and spread the infection among other clubs

According to John's media conference yesterday Swift was released from hospital and he said it was not appendicitis but they either didn't know what it was or didn't want to say.

"Tom Swift won't be available because of a virus. Doctors have ruled out appendicitis or glandular fever but were conducting further tests."

Source.

How life has changed in the last generation. 20-30 years ago if you were 20 and still living with your parents you were either in university or a loser. Now its the norm and expected.

A 20 year old professional footballer. He should have his own place and be sowin the oats.

Im almost 1000% sure that Swift would not be living with his Parents.

Morabito moved from Baldivis to Sucess to live with Ballantyne and was paid a $8000 relocation fee.

Literally moved 20 km. Most clubs want younger players living with other players to develop team bonds.

IIRC, when Swift was drafted he said it was good cos he could stay at home. Why would you move out though? He lives in a nice house, has food cooked for him and will be able to save bulk cash. Seems like a pretty sweet deal to me.

20-30 years ago a rental property was affordable! Nowadays if you want to have any chance of buying, you need to save a deposit. Hard to do that when you are living out of home, paying rent at these prices and making a modest wage.
