I couldn't see a thread on it already. Seems like its getting worse.
What is swine flu?
Swine Influenza (Swine flu) is a highly contagious respiratory disease caused by one of several swine influenza A viruses that leads to outbreaks in pigs and occasionally infects humans. It is spread among pigs by aerosols, direct and indirect contact, and asymptomatic carrier pigs, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). It is not yet known how easily the virus can spread between people, though human-to-human transmission has occurred in some instances.
What are the signs and symptoms of swine flu in humans?
Symptoms of swine flu in humans are similar to that of the regular flu, including fever, cough, sore throat, aching body, headache, chills, fatigue, diarrhoea and vomiting. Severe illness including pneumonia and respiratory failure have been reported as being caused by swine flu in people. The virus may heighten the severity of underlying chronic medical conditions, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The government have made a plea for all spectators that attended the Fremantle v. Sydney and North Melbourne v. Richmond games to be extra vigilant should any symptoms occur as a drift of swine, possibly carrying the disease were seen flying over the respective stadiums.

I've already dug a hole in my back yard and am prepared to bury myself with water and 2 minute noodles if the flu hits Melbourne.
How are you going to cook the 2 minute noodles?

Haha, pay that. :thumbsu:

My strategy: cover myself in cling wrap and masking tape and run around screaming. I can't get the 'Two Days Before the Day After Tomorrow' episode of South Park out of my head in relation to this...

notice that when something breaks out near the US that its on!!!! Gee bird flu and SARS was so far away from them now you think about it

I heard the other day that as long as you eat pork you should have already built an immunity and that this makes the flu a blessing in disguise. That is why they are trying to detect anybody with the virus in airports so they can be deverted straight to the frontlines in Afganistan, Iraq and Gazza.

I was eating a ham sandwich the other day. It tasted a bit funny but I ate it anyway. Should I be worried?
