Sydney Swans = Xavier F.C?

Seems to be a bit of a trend going on here

You know have Ted Richards ('00), Matthew Spangher ('05), Josh Kennedy ('06), Dan Hannebery ('09) and Alex Johnson ('09) on your list. All ex-Xavier College students.

I would say this has to be some sort of record, at least in the modern game. Rare that to have multiple players coming to one club from the same high school. Also quite remarkable considering Xavier usually only produces 1-2 AFL players each year and you have managed to pick up almost all of them!

So far all have worked out pretty well for ya, so hopefully these new boys can form a bit of a bond on the field and do the same.

Andrew Schauble as well. I think it's more coincidence than anything, I doubt we'd be so keen on one high school that we'd purposefully go out and bring their players in over others. I just can't see it working that way.

It'll certainly be nice for Alex Johnson to have a schoolmate in Hanners up here to help him get used to living with the club.

Pretty sure at one point Parade college was well represented (Bundoora based catholic school) was well represented on the swans list, but we lost one in the trade period.

In NFl recruiting, scouts often say some college offenses and defenses allow their layers to transition better to pro style play.

Who coaches at Xavier? Maybe we've got a contact/recruiter involved there
