As someone who is relatively naive when it comes to share trading could i have some opinions from those that know more than i in the value & worth of buying shares in the latest Telstra float.

I would like to invest in T3 on behalf of my grand-daughter but i'm a little wary of there future worth.

IMO I think there are a lot of other better options to buy than Telstra at the moment.

I don't think they will impove much in value in the short or medium term. In the very long term well who knows. To me it just seems like there is going to be such a huge advertising push to sell the shares, which can't be a good sign.

I used to own Telstra Shares but sold them back when they were still in the $5 range. I haven't looked at the T3 prospectous or even looked at Telstra's financials for quite a while now so I wouldn't treat my opinion as gospel, it just what I personally feel.

Think how many happy customers Telstra have, not many and if you actually look at the packages Telstra offers with its 'NextG' Network which is supposedly moving the company forward, its absoloute crap and there is no value for money in there and other carriers will be outdoing it within a few months. Telstra is the last thing I'd be buying, I mean theres a reason why Sol himself doesnt own a single share.
