Good numbers and i hope it stays that way but 88 tackles and only 1 HTB free to us, need to get more rewarded for our efforts from the maggots in green/red/white/purple other getting play on calls instead.
They even missed the one where some Carlton chump was tackled as he kicked, the ball hit the ground, clear as day dropping the ball to everyone but the umpires, they certainly gave Carlton a lot more leeway than us.

I agree but give the bloke a break its a presser bit unfair picking apart every comment as if its gospel.

Oh he meant it alright. The pressure has come from supporters.
Now the supporters need to pressure him to drop his love child Hunt.

I think a lot of the pressure would have been internal, like the other coaches/Balme explaining that coraling should be left to non contact spirts

If Ben Griffiths had your steely focus and monotonous consistency of attack he'd be better than Carey.

Had a quiet chuckle when I heard Dimma in his presser saying something along the lines of it's what the fans wanted - more pressure and tackling - and it what we want.
So the fans are dictating the game plan.
I would have thought without fans, tackling and pressure are paramount in football and non-negotiables.
Dimma the funny campaigner.

It's not just about getting rewarded for holding the ball for the tackles. Tackling puts pressure on the opposition which means they may turn it over or force them to rush their disposal preventing them from hitting their targets or make a poor decision.

I will be proven right ...... again!
Things that you and others now applaud and think of as masterstrokes, like a change in game plan, Riewoldt into the leadership group, someone laying a tackle (wht did your best mate say ... we're not really a tackling side), getting Richardson out of the football manager's role are things I and others have been advocating for three years.
I'll give you another ... Griff will end up being a mediocre 130 game player who will be lucky to get a second life like TV.

When he was skypeing the assistants and explaining his new game plan .....just let them play.....Caracalla said how about we tackle as well?

Dimma saw a light switch on and added it to the game plan in the next Skype session

I think the fact our ex assistant coaches weren't snapped up by other AFL clubs says it all.
Except for Port snapping up Lade that is...but heck Port are the side that has Michael Voss as their assistant coach.

It wasn't a tackle and some won't like it but Houli's chase on a much quicker Pickett epitomised the massively improved mindset of the group.
Last season he waltzes in and goals, or sets one up, Thursday night Bachar did enough to put him right off and no score.

That should be non-negotiable at this level. Just shows how lazy our players have been.

Well you are a genius, self acknowledged which is a bit of a concern, but genius nonetheless.
I'm not calling masterstrokes, game plan changes or anything you mentioned. I may even agree with you on griffo, just pointing out the only thing he lacks is passion, which you have in spades when it comes to attacking the coach.

The difference is the development of kids like Butler, Rioli and Costagna (well done Hardwick). And the acquisition of Prestia, Caddy and Nank (well done list management and talent spotters).

Inject speed and talent, develop the kids and I'll be happy.
You can congratulate yourself over Dan Richardson, leadership groups...go for it. Idgaf.

The coach - your mate - has his good qualities which I have listed here several times, but you care not to acknowledge or recognise.
Which, is part of the issue here on this here Richmond board. People get branded 'negative poster' or 'negative Nanny' on here and that's all I and all I will ever be. Ditto for those who see everything through rose coloured glasses and refuse t recognise the bleakest of 30-odd years in the club's proud history. I could sprout that 'we smashed the last two drafts' like your mate Hardwick who you sit at the family table with, but you wouldn't bat an eye lid becuase you look for me to be negative and you pounce! Yes, pounce!

Development? You have to ask (and it is far too early to tell, but we as Tigers will go ga-ga over Butler's first up game - but Dean Polo says hi) but how Butler seemingly rocket past first and second and third round draft picks who have show barely anything?

And ditto mate ... IDGAF what you say, as it's just as biased as the other Hardwick family members who post on here who thinks he's Jeans, Parkin, Sheedy and Clarkson rolled into one and when he 's out the door at the end of the year or the ened of the next, you won't even say goodbye. You'll just slink out the back door as quickly as you arrived without a whimper.
Thanks for the memories!

I have banged on about this with mates and I think it would be a great marketing ploy by the club. CALL THE STORM AND ORGANISE A TACKLING SESSION. This would be a fantastic marketing exercise for the club, who has been the worst tackling side for the last 4 years or so.

How good would it be to see our players use rugby like aggression in their tackles. I wanna see that

Tackling is interesting.

The Collingwood v Western Bulldogs tackle count was almost the same as Carlton v Richmond.

Collingwood/Carlton 67 v Western Bulldogs/Richmond 87/88 respectively. We had more tackles in our forward 50 than both Western Bulldogs and Collingwood. If we can keep that forward pressure up next week I think we'll blow Collingwood away, but we'll see.
Players have to take responsibility and shoot for goal rather than be handball happy.

Jeez, you've put a bit of GST on that one!!!!

I do gaf about what you say, and think you're generally ok. What idgaf about is leadership groups and game plans.
Give me talent, speed. The rest is fluff.

I agree with you 100%. Lloyd could have easily had another goal and George could have easily had 3 goals.
