Tailgaters

I've come across plenty of them in my courier days and I must say I'm not
a big fan.Anybody have some stories to share?

lol yeh i slow down too, then if we meet at the lights or whatever i start checking myself out in the mirror looking really ditzy so they think i havent noticed at all - seems to make them madder if they cant get a reaction

I hate tailgaters as much as the next guy, but you're almost forced to tailgate these days. If you leave more than a car length between yourself and the car in front some goose will try to invade that space and cut you off. Then if you drop back a bit from the first goose, a second one will do the same.

Before you know it a whole gaggle will have chopped in front of you, most of them forcing you to brake.

They are usually hot heads...

Slow them down until they get pissed then when they catch up, just give them a loving smile...absolute kills them...and if they pursue the matter just blow them a kiss and smille...it's a win win situation.

I remember when I was driving home from the Foo Fighters concert in Brissy. It is 100k/h and I went past this bird, then was sitting on about 105-110 so she then went back out into the right lane, overtook me then pulled back in front and sat on 90, so i overtook her again and she kept overtaking. Eventually I decided to not go past her and I sat right up her ass. It was unlucky that we were going back to the servo and so was she. She ran a red to away so i did aswell, when she saw we pulled up for fuel she sped off. Stupid bitch.

Moral of the story if your being tailgated you were probally being a twat.

I love tailgating people who are driving like w***ers or just generally driving incredibly slow. Add high beams if it's night.

The most common tailgaters are truckies in big semi trailers.
I guess that's alright though, I mean they can go from 100km/h to 0km/h in about 1 second...
I always give quite a lot of room, especially on freeways.

Had a scary incident with a Truck driving home from Melbourne. Was driving like a true maniac. Would have come to within a metre no easily going 105km's/ph. Then drove in front for a while and sped off big time. We called a good mate who was a cop and bang! Get into the town and there he is, pulled over on the side of the road with blue and red lights flashing.

Was scray but it paid off.

hate them.
when i get people tailgaiting me... i slow down even more. jsut to piss them off.

though.. an even smarter move it to slam on the breaks.
wont be your fault at all.
they were to close and were leaving enough room for you to break.
my dad taught me this... you can tell i was taught do drive by a bad teacher..
