Look it may sound worse then what it could be accually. Melbourne wins more then 4 as i think they will probs win 6 games we get the no:1 pick and we get a gun in John Butcher. A key Forward is what we lack, personally i think if we get Butcher he can take the heat of Jack and our team will be much better. We are only lacking one position and everyone knows its a Key Forward so please Richmond tank, we know we wont make finals so get a good pick before the GC come in.

Just to make people aware this draft isnt supposed to have much depth so if we cna get what we need with round 1 lets do it. We have 3 gun mids in Foley, Lids and Cotchin. A strong backline Thursfield, McGaune, Moore and Rance we need one more forward to help Riewoldt, Morton and Robin
Please Tank :thumbsu:

I agree with Hognogger, we don't need to tank. Our poor skill level and lack of heart is the perfect vehicle for tanking without having to tank.

Tank now ?

WE dont have to tank, we are crap anyway, keep Terry as coach and keep playing Schulz, JON, Edwards and we have the top pick in the bag.

your all right, we need pick 1 or 2, and we dont need to tank to finish bottom 2.
however can you really see melbourne winning 5 ?
if they dont win tomo i highly doubt it.
and if we dont finish last or melbourne finish last and win 5 then we arent going to get butcher.
other then butcher the next best tall option is fitzpatrick and i dont rate him anywhere near as high as butcher.
id rather see us go for a mifdielder with skills like lucas if we dont get pick 1 or 2.

As other years there is always a late runner in the draft. Jack Watts wasnt talked about being Number 1 pick early on the year, Hill was not going at pick 3 until the week before the draft.
Now I have seen Butcher play he is a very big boy, would it be fair to say if he is a forward he would only be a Full Forward? I dont think he is agile for CHF.
Is he like Vickery? more a ruck resting forward.

I am all for playing the kids on our list and pretty much no players over 30, but I don't want us to start deliberatly losing games. As long as we play the kids and give them experience it wouldn't bother me if we win 10 games and finish ninth again. As long as it comes from the effort from our 18-24 year olds.
