NORM SMITH MEDAL: Marcus Hare (Port)

Another premiership under the belt, with Port Adelaide winning their 7th flag, but more importantly, they overcame all hurdles with injuries, consistency, bad start and the inexperienced squad. The Power won their 3rd premiership in a row, and even more amazing, their 4th in five years.

Coach Mikey Robinson celebrated his 13th premiership as coach, and has made this Power side into one of the greatest sides. Among the great sides of Collingwood's 4 in a row side 1927-30 and 2006-15 where they won 6 flags. Brisbane Lions 2001-04 side, where they won a hat-trick to lose the 04' grand final and Melbourne's side of the 50's.

Marcus Hare won his third Norm Smith Medal, and fourth premiership as captain. Rising Star winner Caleb Kift was unlucky not to get the best on ground award.

Robinson in suprise move, takes opportunity presented by Carlton
Mikey Robinson, the biggest name in AFL Football, and the best coach ever to coach the great game, has not renewed his contract with Port Adelaide after 6 amazing seasons at the South Australian club, and has moved back to Victoria to coach up and coming Carlton.

He coached the Power to 4 premierships, with a run of three still going into season 2046. "It was time to go back home after 7 years away, and I achieved much much more in that time with Port, and I personally see a development will soon come along, and I am not that man for that...my job is done" said Robinson. "I have looked in depth, and not only me coming back home to Victoria to coach the Blues, but a nice contract and very very good list to work with can see me help the club along".

Carlton have an impressive list, and now with the greatest coach at the helm, everything is possible. He has coached 12 premierships, and the side is at it's peak in expectation, skills and finances in the last decade.

Carlton have won 20 premierships, only 3 behind the record held by Collingwood, who overtook the Blues and Bombers in late 2000's. Robinson is capable of helping them to the 3-4 needed.

Blues dominate season '46

With a new coach, new side, and new strategy, Carlton has approached the 2046 Grand Final easily as predicted. Expectations on the side were quite high, but were boosted when the great Mikey Robinson took over as coach. Robinson left Port Adelaide, a side that had won 4 premierships under him in only 5 seasons, yet Robinson didn't sign on the dotted line and took the opportunity shown to him from the Blues.

Their side was powerful, and even more encouraging was their youngsters, and when they had the best coach in the history of the game, it all came the way it should off. Carlton only lost 2 games during the season, memories of 1995. Comprehensive wins in the final series set up what will be a massive Grand Final. Carlton last appeared on the last day of September in 2038, and won the premiership that day against the Kangaroos, who has won the premiership the year before.

A rebuilding process has seen them fall from 16th to 9th to now qualifying for the premiership. The recruiting over the last pre-season was fantastic, and the team is fairly young which is encouraging for years to come.

The reason Mikey left the Power was because his job was over and a rebulding process was what was expected. Port Adelaide, chasing a fourth consecutive premiership, a feat only achieved once before, which happened over 115 years ago by the Collingwood Football Club in years 1927 to 1930. The Power finished last, with the wooden spoon to go along with the last 4 flags and cups, and then the pre-season cup, in the trophy cabinet of the last 6 seasons.

West Coast has shown signs all season, but when it came to Carlton they had played well, but the result was big. Carlton played the Eagles in the Qualifying Final, and a 38-point margin sent the Blues on a weeks break, despite the Eagles kicking 17 goals. Carlton won both home and away games, a 26-point win in round 5, while an in-accurate 42-point win in round 20, where the Blues scored 21 behinds.

Ex-captain Ian Flannigan will still remain on the sidelines, but the biggest injury is to dominant ruckman Jared Rigby, who missed last week with a broken foot. Close to All-Australian selection, Rigby played all matches except what looks like a successful finals series. Winner of the AFL Rising Star, Alex Pryde is struggling with a calf injury but should come up alright.

All smiles for Whitehouse and Hubble

Carlton's Ethan Whitehouse and Essendon's Bradon Hubble have tied the 2046 Brownlow Medal with 19 votes last night. Both having successful seasons, the favourite Whitehouse polled votes in the final stages to take the lead, before Hubble pulled a suprise vote against Melbourne in round 22.

Whitehouse missed 3 matches during the second part of the season, yet still managed to pull off the win, and if not for the leg injury, he may aswell been crowned the Brownlow medallist individually, but that doesn't matter, he has won the award.

Blues do it easy the hard way

At 2:30 the game of the year, the one game everybody plays hard to get to, had started off fine, with the Blues definate favourites, with TAB having them at $1.16 for the premiership, the Eagles were at $3.10.

At 3:32, the siren went for the first break, and the West Coast Eagles stunned the nation, kicking there way to a 33-point lead in such a short time, having a lead of 8.3 to 3.0, but the Blues were not worried. Consolidating throughout each quarter, it was once again that one quarter, the Premiership Quarter that set up the game, as Carlton kicked five goals to one, and were only 1-point down.

The Blues won convincingly in the end, four goals to two in a final tustle, and Carlton had won premiership number 21. Mikey Robinson won his fifth premiership as coach in six years, and his 14th overall, a massive record.

Tristan Farnham was the best player on the ground, awarded with the Norm Smith Medal, having 21 touches, 7 marks and kicking 3 goals, while Brownlow medallist Ethan Whitehouse also chipped in with 3 from the midfield, having 26 touches himself. Kaleb Hiah kicked 4, finishing the year with 98 goals. Firt year player Victor Grigg was the best for the Eagles, kicking 3 in the first quarter.

Now coaching the Kangaroos due to a very juicy offer of more than $2M a year for 3 years. I did however, guide the Blues to another premiership....as a coach that is 5 in a row, and 6 in 7 seasons...amazing :)

Injuries a problem at the half way mark, but we still sit inside the top 8 at 5th. Our key backs have been struggling, and it showed, with a 101 pt loss to the Tigers before the break.

The Roos under fire as they lose 3 in a row, but more importantly suffered there 2nd 100 point loss of the season, this time against Port Adelaide in Round 17. They still however sit just inside the 8.

The Roos win there way into the finals, despite suffering a loss. There Friday Night loss against the Bulldogs had there hopes up, with the Swans needing to win against last place Collingwood at Telstra Stadium, the Pies pulled off an amazing 34 point victory to put the Roos into Finals action.

Cristian McNally and Paul Gleinster have been awarded All-Australian selection. McNally won his first award, while reigning best and fairest Gleinster pulled off consecutive selections, being named on the bench. McNally was named on the wing.

Gleinster was also awarded a 2nd best and fairest award after being runner-up last season, he went one better, and also came in the top 6 for the Brownlow Medal, unable to beat Adam McGrath of the Bulldogs who won his second Brownlow Medal.

The Roos have done it in fine fashion, winning the ultimate Holy Grail for the first time since 2037. They have won the 2049 premiership after some help of retaining a position in the 8 at the end of the season. Massive wins in the Finals have been something regular for coach Mikey Robinson, who wins premiership no.16 as coach, and his 7th in 9 seasons, an amazing feat. This being his 5th club as coach, he has taken 4 of them to premiership victory.

Robinson coach the Magpies to 9 premierships, in seasons 2006, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2020, 2022 and 2027, then coached West Coast for one season being unsuccessful but an offer out of retirement came from Port Adelaide, when he coached them to 4 premierships, in years 2041, 2043, 2044 and 2045. He then coached the Blues between seasons 2046 and 2048...and in 2046 and 2048 he provided more silverware, and now, at his fifth club, and first season at the Roos has helped them to a premiership.

Cristian McNally won the Norm Smith Medal to go with All-Australian selection

Only duds do it on easy :p

I am doing normal and currently after coming 16, 14, 16 with the Pies, am sitting 3rd after 15 games. That's what rebuilding does!

Jaggard needs only 11 goals to break Bob Pratt and Peter Hudson's goalkicking record of 150 goals in a season.

Chad Cornes has kicked over 250 goals for me in a season three times. Obviously it was in footy fanatic though...But still! :D
