Haven't watched the replay, but watching him at the ground he looks a mere shadow of the player he was 3-4 years ago.

Where's he at?

Horribly out of form. Has not fully recovered from his knee injury and his career is now on the line.

Will definitely be retained by the club in 2006, but Iaccobucci H Shaw Egan Rowe etc are the future, leaving the writing on the wall for Lockyer O'Bree Woewodin and Lonie. Tarks could see a lot of game time for Willy in 2006 unless he has a cracking preseason to recover what pace and strength he seems to have lost.

I've always respected this kid from day one but it seems he hasn't recaptured the form prior to his knee operation. He deserves to be given every opportunity to regain his form unlike 'Call Me Magic'.

what kind of knee injury was it?

acl or medial?

He hasn't lost form, he's the same weak squib he's always been. We will give him to any club that wants him for free, in fact we'll even throw in a 1st round draft pick for any club that will take him off our hands. Makes Ryan Lonie look tough.

Seriously, have a close look at him next time you're at a Collingwood game, here's how it goes:
1) Lockyer and opponent, facing each other 10 metres apart
2) Ball lands directly between them
3) Opponent runs straight line at ball takes possession
4) Lockyer (with that annoying "gee-whiz I'm having a crack" grimace on his face) times his run to arrive at ball after opponent has possession, hence avoiding body contact
5) Opponent waltzes past Lockyer
6) Lockyer attempts weak one-arm tackle and falls to ground as opponent dances off with the ball, leaving the Squib lying on the turf watching.

Get stuffed Tarkyn Lockyer, you're not the worst player in our team, but you represent everything that is wrong with it at the moment.

Lockyer has one of the worst kicks going around. How often did that guy turn the ball over last night? I've heard Collingwood fans talk of his poor disposal skills. I always thought he was a good kick, but paying attention to him last night, he is far from a good kick.

You're kidding - disposal is about the only thing this bozo can do properly.

Any poor disposal by Lockyer is not a skill deficiency but a by-product of what I have outlined above - an exceptional ability to soil himself every time an opponent even looks at him. In the clear, his disposal is probably as good as anyone on our list except Buckley.

I know this dosn't really go with this thread, but how noticably bad are Egan's skills

The amount of times I yelled out from the second level to Tarkyn to stick on his flipping man...I lost count. Terribly unaccountable last night on a dangerous small forward who can turn it in 5 minutes. Oh, he was on Milne too....I just wished he could have made it a contest, cant stand Milne.

Tarkyn was never any good, he was always weak one on one but we could carry him when the rest of the team was doing well. He is slow and soft but he is a good bloke and that is what matters at Magpie Land.

What makes it truly painful is that he is part of the leadership group, no wonder we have problems.

Wasnt he the future captain???, He looks as slow as hell and way out of his depth in the defence. If he was delisted one of the West Aussie clubs might give him one last chance. I wouldnt mind him as a experienced backup for a few of our young midfielders.

He is as horrible as he ever was. Who ever rated him?
Someone who must have been on drugs at the time.
