apparently taz is announcing his retirement today. i know this year has been injury interrupted but i thought he could of gone another year. he is still our best key defender

Chris Tarrant, one of the most charismatic Collingwood players of his time, will retire from the game at the season’s end.
Tarrant informed his team-mates and coaches before training yesterday of his decision to bring down the curtain on a 15 year career as distinguished as it was memorable.


Thanks Mick.There is a school of thought that believes players who announce their retirement before the finish of their season play like they have retired thereafter. Leigh Brown did it last year, so lets hope it does not happen to Tarrant this year. I would have been happier if he had left the announcement till after our final's campaign.
