On these stats if we could get 40 goals a year out of him it would ber a good return! Really, if you take a look on face value it looks like we have recruited s simulare type of forward, we will just have to wait and see

All good looking at those stats, but how many goal assists will Medhurst get in comparison to what Tarrant did?

Medhurst was the focal point in some of those years, Tarrant has never been our main forward, instead was used with Rocca, Fraser, Didak, Davis/s & rotating midfielders.

Yer, I think it's very tough to compare the 2, remembering we also got pick 8.

Taz gave us alot of goal assists and took very good defenders. It will be interesting now as Medhurst will take a different type of defender which may leave T Cloke or Rusling with a harder match up. The deal was done thinking of the future so let's be patient. I'd rather have 2 average years and then seriously challenge for a flag then 3 solid top 8 finishes while never really challenging for the flag. See WCE young list.

If Medhurst can kick 30+ goals that will be huge for us.

I got a feeling MM might play him in a similar role to Dids, that high HFF that pushes forward.

Couldn't kick straight for goal a lot, especially this season. Really started to get frustrating.......Had to go I think, although I did like Tazza.

No. He is a required player but just can't get on the park enough, therefore we are asking him to take a pay cut. Seriously. If you look at those stats, Kent Kingsley is probably a better player than Tarrant. Tarrent is more a support forward, not a main forward. At Freo he will do pretty well, with Murphy at FF, Pav at CHF and Tarrant floating around doing whatever he likes.

He had the yips at goal this year. Proably nothing serious.. just confidence thing. In previous years he was a great shot at goal.

I loved Tarrent, wish him all the best, put up with everyones crap about him for the past how ever many years, hope he makes a grand final for Freo - and hope he loses and plays like crap! hahaha!!

But seriously eveyone, there is no use comparing Medhurst to Tarrant as the trade was really pick 8 for Taz which we should be happy with in a bumper draft and then Medhurst was just icing on the cake - not sure how good medhurst is going to be - but should be a good replacement for Didak for the first few weeks of the season and see what happens from there

So lers compare Tarrent to whoever we get a pick 8 and be thankful that we got Medhurst as well!

I agree with this Comment. I agree Pick 8 was Adjective and Medhurst was put in it when they didn't have to.

So we should be thankful for getting a bit more out of tarrants trade!
