If it were a condition of getting an AFL team, the capacity of Bellrieve and Aurora would be increased by the State govt. irrespective of cost.

A Tassie team would split their games between Hobart and Launie, and membership would comprise of:

Full ticketed members (access to all games in Hobart and Launceston)
Hobart member (access to all 6/7 hobart home games)
Launceston member (access to all 6/7 launie home games)

Every home game would be packed imo. A Tassie team would also have a lot of away support when they travel; lots of ex pat Taswegians living in Vic especially.

Won't happen now for at least a decade unfortunataley. Only way it would happen sooner would be a merger, and that seems unlikely.

2025: Tasmania
2026: North Qld

I honestly doubt that crowds would get as low as 15k TBH, especially if games are adequately split between Launceston and Hobart. I guess the key to this would be engaging Burnie and Devonport folk to attend games, because you have I think 60k in the area.

^ i think a 3rd WA team or 3rd NSW team would come b4 north qld, off topic though

Yeah I'd agree with that. They only just tried Cairns last year.

I'd be interested to see if there'd be another political push any time soon.
