Im gettin another one done at chapel street tattoo..in parhan....anyone had any experience with them?

Don't have any yet, but I'm getting the South Adelaide monogram on one ankle, and the flying Crow on the other... both small.

I got my fav band Husker Du's symbol from their zen arcade album on the small of my back in black....I have a large traditional japanese dragon in black and red down my spine..about 20 cms long...two nautical stars on my hips and a lil cat outline...with whiskers on my right foot/ankle

I've got a complete celtic arm band on my left arm, it's about2 inches wide. Also have the word RESPECT in two inch high letters (in old English style font) right across my lower back. It means a lot to me and probably little to anyone else. Just how a tatt should be.

I've never thought of getting a football tattoo...must be one of the odd ones out.

Get it!

The ankle isn't a particularly visible place, and you can easily cover it up with socks, leg hair, etc... (that is, if you're male... if you're female leg hair might prove quite feral )

The husker du is the circle symbol in the middle of the link...though mine is just black...a touch bigger then this

Husker were cool. I've got 'Candy Apple Grey' and 'Warehouse Songs And Stories" I saw Bob Mould at Sarah Sands years ago as well.

When I am past 18 (only 1 year and 5 months to go ), and Hawthorn win another flag, I will get a tattoo of the Hawk logo, and all the premierships I have been alive for ('86, '88, '89, '91 so far...).

I was at the sarah sands too Yah Husker du kicked ass..as did bob mould and grant hart in their solo aspects...
I'm not a huge fan of warehouse...but candy apple grey is prob my fav album ever...though a touch depressing Zen Arcade is a great album..pretty heavy and roughish in parts... but it pretty much is everythin that i like about the 80's punk- melodic- hc sound.

I've got one of the Bob Mould promo posters..the real huge ones on my wall in my room in pretty good nick since its from 1990, my boy painstakinly took two from around town off their usual haunts....its got the sarah sands and the palace shows on it..and bob mould in orange in fetchin boxer shorts and socks and shoes! whoooo hooo!

I'd been designing a tattoo which symbolically represented my family based on the meanings of our names.

This incorporated:

Christopher (meaning: bearer of Christ) A Crucifix
Jennifer (White Spirit) A Dove
Shannon A River
Ryan (King) A Crown.

Of course, once I had worked out the concept, we went and had another baby and now I've got to start again!

While I want, and will get a tattoo, it's meaning must be profound to me. I won't ever get one for the sake of it!

It took me until I was 32 to get enough guts to get one, the 93 GF pushed me into it. this from someone who hates pain so much I haven't even got my ears pierced.

I wanna a nice traditional ships anchor on my upper arm (just like Popeye the sailor-man) but I need an upper arm bulging with muscles for it to look any good.

... so, yeah, the anchor is on hold - indefinitely

Prior to my Dad joining the army in WW2, he was in the Merchant Marine, suffice to say he had several LARGE tattoos. I don't know if any of you have seen pre WW2 tattoos, but they were invariably large, and never discreet

He always told me when I was young, "never ever get a tattoo, they are permanent, your feelings for getting a tattoo, are NOT permanent"

Hence I have never, and will never, get a tattoo

when i get some money, and dont spend it straight away..... next time im in melbourne (cos i refuse to get it done in adelaide) i will get a Demon tattoed on either my ankle or my shoulder with a number 9 in the corner (really small). i had one air brushed on at the Royal Show, and now that has given me the bug to go and get one.... If only i had the money
