Finally gets wraps from Mark Robinson, he has been flying under the radar for weeks he has down a great job so far this year. No forward has kicked more than 4 goals on him.

Was also wondering is he half aboriginal or islander?

Not sure about your last question... not that I am the BF police, but these posts should be posted in Player Watch

Re: Tatye Pears

Love this guy more and more with every game he plays..
can't remember who said it last night during the telecast, but they said "he would have to be the most improving player with that amount of games played in the league"
I would have to agree with that

Re: Tatye Pears

Love the way he plays.
Both he and hooker take players on and pears is quick and can catch up on the lead.

Re: Tatye Pears

His one weakness is his kicking skills. He provides great rebound, but too often (especially early in the year), he turned it over on about the wing, exposing us defensively, as he had left his man to provide that run.

Both he and Hooker rebound beautifully for key defenders, but Pears especially needs to improve his efficiency.

"Delicious!"

Re: Tatye Pears

Tayte is caucasian, he is just well built and has an islander like haircut.

Re: Tatye Pears

Is he a chance for a rising star nomination?
Yep. He's deserved one for a few weeks now. If the award wasn't so midfielder-friendly like the Brownlow, I would honestly have him top-3 at this stage.

Re: Tatye Pears

Pears is a class act.

He is so composed and cool under pressure. Seriously the coolest player I have seen since Mercuri.

He almost always makes the right choice and even though he has sprayed a few kicks but in general he seems to be a nice kick of the ball.

To think that his size means that he might end up playing on a 3rd choice tall :D. Remember of course that we still have Hooker, Hurley and maybe Ryder (depending on what Laycock and Gumbleton do).

Re: Tatye Pears

This kid will be one of the best defenders in the comp in about 3 - 4 years time!
His biggest asset is the way he reads the play.
He will back himself and play in front of his opponent and take the mark.
His kicking will improve over time :thumbsu:

Re: Tatye Pears

star in the making. they'll be asking how he slipped to pick 23 in years to come. must get a three year deal, pronto. absolutely love his willingness to play the physical role and also organise his teammates.

Pears has been excpetional with the ball over the past few weeks - not sure how you could question his ball use?

I am far more comfotrtbale with him with the ball in hand than many in our back 6 and midfield brigade.
