You misinterpretted - What I meant was, the info in that thread is the best you are going to get at the moment. Wait for the prospectus for something more...

Is that for the pre-ordering people? anyone got any ideas when the prospectus will be in stores...going to go grab one. hopefully chaddy has it lol

Why would you want to. Just paying extra $$ for out of date versions.

Would someone with a prospectus be kind enough to post the squad he went with last year? I'm interested in the format he went with.

Thanks.

That makes winning look so achievable! :thumbsu:
It also I think if you look at his starting squad shows that big footy is a good resource as that squad is extremely similar to the big footy hype squad of last year.

Yes Initial squad fairly predictable. Trading ---spot on!

But the trading was awesome. Every trade netted him plenty of points.

Agree, i believe trading is the most important part of the game, in all honesty i believe i had a better starting line - up than directors, bar Malceski, however was really let down with poor trading on my part.

However as u can see, he went with a gun-rookie option with 1 rookie in the back and foward line. However this year there seems to be much more value in the mid prices(Kennelly, Broadbent, Hunt, Ellis, Ladson) and less value in the rookies (Shephard, Davis).

Therefore a similiar strategy may not be necessarily beneficial in adopting

Agree. May need to be a bit more conservative with rookies this year although there do seem to be plenty of good options in the mids. I would prefer last years situation where there were some good options in each position. All makes for a good challenge. Selecting 2 or even 3 starter rookies in the mids would be a bold (but possibly very rewarding) strategy though.

Interesting to see he brought in players like Montagna, Gibbs who only avg around 85 the previous year and had started last year very well. I personally wouldve gone with players like Bartel, Corey, S.Mitchell, Hayes those players that have a more secure history.

Montagna and Gibbs may have been carving up early but often a the first half of the season can be different to the 2nd half of the season. They could easily have avg 90 after he traded them in.

Also i wouldnt have traded Ablett out, but i guess he won. So you cnat really argue that. Its interesting that, that trade got him 2 premiums (Gibbs and Pavlich).

Not really - he didn't bring in O'Keefe.

Yeah i agree. his trading wasnt that spot on.. it was just agressive when he needed to be to cover 0s. Some of them pretty obvious trades that we all did at some point last season..

I feel like i traded better than him. I picked up Dids, Okeefe, Hayes Swan and S Johnson at the perfect time... I just didnt have the best starting squad and had been set back with multiple LTIs.. He did have a decent starting side though..

To win this thing I think does illustrate that you must be aggressive with your trading all season to cover for short or longer term injuries/suspensions to your premiums and midpricers.. even if that means trading out ablett to a lesser premium so you can upgrade/cover in two areas.. need to think outside of the box sometimes..

I still firmly believe trading right is about 50-60% of this game..
