Do we have any team rules down at Punt Road? I can think of a couple that should be introduced or reinforced after watching Friday night’s game:

1.When you gain possession of the ball, if you bounce the ball before you run 3 or 4 metres (as Zantuck did in the defensive goalsquare) you will be dragged,

2. Instead of bombing from 55 metres out and landing the ball on the goal line for an easy rushed behind, kick to the top of the goalsquare or look for a short option around 35 metres out &

3. At every center bounce have one of our big fellas camped at 35 – 40 metres out from goal for the scrambled kick from the center break. Time and time again I have seen the ball kicked into that area with no talls there to contest the mark.

Perhaps these are team rules already in place but if not should be introduced immediately. Any others that you think should be introduced?

4. at the centre bounce i would like a chf or h/forward to consistently come tearing into the square to meet and then lay off a handball, i cant remeber that happening in a richmond side since 1995 when scotty turner dished off to daffy for a goal.

5.DONT flood or play the loose man in defence, by crickey we are no doubt THEEEEEEEEEEE dumbest football side in the comp. our opponents always seem to make use of the spare man better than us, and no matter how hard or deep we flood the good sides always tear us a new one, its been happening for yrs ala essendon et al.................

6. DONT bomb to the big fellas down forward, correction dont bomb 9 times out of 10....isolate the big guys and mark my words no team can cover 3 gorillas one out.

7. play man-on-man hard nut footy, we r tigers for fu(ks sake, play like that!

8. for every broken tackle 20 push-ups :D

You win...

9. Give some protection to the blokes getting constantly tagged, in particular Cogs and Johnson. That may mean that blokes like Fleming, AK, Chaff, Rory, Staff etc... make a point of knocking the bloke on his arse in every shepherd, or after every time the tagger dishes off a handball. Bruise him.
