My In(s) and out(s)

In - P Burgoyne Brogan
Out - Kinglsey Primus

Kingers aint fit and I wouldnt be risking S Burgoyne. The second change wont happen but it should.

I guess the fitness staff will advise on Kingsley but I think you're probably right. I think the suggestion many have made that Junior Burger have a run with the Maggies is sensible (Ch 10 news tonight seems to support this).
Unless there is some behind the scenes stuff with Brogan we don't know about I'd like to see him back. Hard to see Primus being dropped without face-saving stuff about injury. Therefore Lade to go, unless we put him in FF and drop White.
Shattock seems to have lightly hurt his knee at training so Eckermann should be safe. Perhaps Mahoney, Chaplin or just re-signed Pettigrew back. Perhaps Symes in at last.
I'd think there would be a fair chance James would be rested again, for games with more of a 50/50 chance for us and (ever the optimist) for if we make finals.

Has there been any talk of resting Jamesy? - I hope not. Resting Roger would concede defeat IMO.

If Broges comes in for this game, then while I would normally say it should be at the expense of Matty or Lade, I think it is more likely it will be to replace White. You could argue that taking different styles of ruckmen into battle, against Cox especially, may be wise. I can't make a case for dropping Lade - he has been very good in the last fortnight, and played a big role in our resurgence in the second term against Essendon and our form in the last quarter.

I hope Kingers does come up. If he does, then I think the most likely scenario is:
P. Burgoyne and Brogan in for Eckerman and White.

It would be very disappointing, but that is what I expect.

Apart from his 1st quarter Shattock played his best game for us last week and if his knee wasn't injured in training tonight he'll stay. Cochrane was one of our best players last week and one of the few not disgraced in the first quarter, he'll stay.
Primus seemed oddly immune to criticism after last week. His ruck-work and general effort to contest papered over the downright dangerous disposals as he attempted to play in the mid-field.
I discussed the Burgoynes earlier and will stay with what I said there.

Hey Arsene, Primus came up in discussions after the Tigers game and if you remember they were my sentiments exactly (btw, let me know if you plan on going on the train to Melbourne again). Primus might be getting a bit of the ball but how many times did he use it? Mind you, Primus isn't the only one displaying a shocking skill level. The other issue is he is to predicatble in ruck contests. He drops it at his feet to the back of the pack 80% of the time. When opposition teams are smart they figure it out and slaughter us out of the middle. Three ruckmen can work, provided Primus only works the forward line and Lade and Brogan rotate off the bench. If they can't play Primus this way then he should be dropped for the players we all know are better ruckmen.

Who is our skills coach this year?

Ins: P Burgoyne, S Burgoyne, Brogan
Outs: Kingsley, Cochbrain, White

Primus will not be dropped.

In the past our team selection is often not based on form, so i do not see it suddenly changing this week.

Two more losses, and we are gone.

Yeh mate - I agree with all you have said

Im heading over for the Collingwood game (rd 14 Fri night at the Dome)

Flights are pretty cheap (49 each way) so dunno about the train - But I rekn a few of us BF posters should all board the train and head over and sit together - WOuld make for an interesting night!! What do you say guys ?? But Broombroom if ur over for the game Il be sure to catchup with ya !!

In: P.Burgoyne
Out: Cochrane (was reasonable last week but he's still the worst player in that team over a few weeks)

What will happen
In: P.Burgoyne
Out: Injured player or White

Might bring in Chaplin or Brogan for White anyway and Thommo to get a game if Shats and Kingsley are both injured

This better not happen....win this and we will be right back on track again...lose and it puts more pressure to win against the Saints the next week. I know a lot of the supporters aren't confident against the Eagles (me one of them) but if the boys and Choco aren't pumped up to win mark it down as a 10 goal thrashing.

We need to start thinking with a premier team mindset again - I know our skills haven't been up to it this year but start playing to win and who knows what could happen - Collingwood did it last week after all.

Repeating what I've said in another thread.

Outs : Primus, Cochrane, Kingsley
Ins : Brogan, Senior B, Thomson

White and Symes both travel. If it's raining heavily then Symes gets the big at White's expense. If Shattock doesn't come up then I'd rather a Junior B. who can run out half a match in then the Roach.

If it's wet I'd expect P Burgoyne for White to be the only change, assuming Kingsley and Shattock come up. If one of those 2 pulls out, Thomson could be a chance.

Symes has already missed 2 weeks, I'd prefer to have to play Poults than to risk Symes having another weekend with no footy.
