With a pathetic performance on Saturday theres no doubt the axe will fall on certain players this week. But who should be dropped and who should replace them? No doubt Richards will be back into the side especially if Lloyd fails to come up.

Damien Cupido: Hasn't done much the last few weeks and form doesn't justify leaving him in. However strongly believe we need his goal kicking ability if we make the finals and need to keep giving him game time.

While Sheedys hinted that Mercuri might be a chance, think it would be a backward step for the club to go with him ahead of a kid.

Perhaps NLM could be dropped but who to replace him?

What do you guys think?

Thought Nathan was one of our better players yesterday. I thought his chasing and tackling was very important and I'd like to see him stay in the side.

Id also like to see Jason Laycock get another run. His marking was good but what impressed me more was his pick up in the middle of the ground during the last quarter. Down at his ankles he gathered a greasy ball with one touch. Not bad for a bloke who is 200cm+

I don't think making changes is the answer, just getting a more even effort across the board, ala v port.

Disco what is it with you? You had Cupido's No 13 on your rarely washed 'scum jumper early in the year and now your off him! I told you he needed to be shackled to get his head over the ball and you wouldn't believe me! Well now you do and i dare say after yesterdays effort you'd have to agree he's not the only one, soft, unaccountable pretenders! How bad are they going down back when Daniel Harford can come back after 11 weeks in the VFL and have 17 possies in a FP? Oh that's right he WANTED the footy! Makes a difference when you get blokes out there that do that! What's that now Disco 2 out of last 8 is it...lookin' shaky! Lloydy injured as well? VEEERRYY SHAKY!!

Re: Ins and Outs For Next Week.

In - Richards, (Lovett, Winderlich)
Out- Alvey, (Lloyd, Welsh)

Laycock to go to full Forwrd if Lloyd's out
and Ben Haynes away from the backline, he's horrible back there.

And if it's raining tell McPhee and Soloman so stop bloody handballing!!!!!

What is it with you guys and Winderlich?? I know the kids got big raps on him but every time he comes into the side he really struggles to find the footy. Maybe he just needs more time but Im not sure about him.

He's never had a chance to settle.

Re: Ins and Outs For Next Week.

If you base your omissions on last week, only Hird, J.Johnson, Fletcher, Peverill & Laycock would remain in the team. There needs to be an injection of confidence into the team - and by constantly dropping guys like Teddy Richards, Marc Bullen and Mark Alvey is no way to instill this.

I'm just glad that Brisbane lost over the weekend - it took all the focus off Essendon's ********-poor performance.

Why not Haynes - he has played schithouse footy all year and has somehow kepot his spot. Has definetely gone backwards on his form from last year.

Alvey needs to have the stuffing belted out of him - he is not that good - he needs to work harder.

I would love to see a coach with balls and bring in the kids like he said he was going to do - bring in Watson, Hunt, Layc ock, Dyson, Stanton, Richards etc. They are the future.

Gyus like Bolton, Alvey who are treading water should be back in the magoos to get some form up.

Pretty hard to drop Joey after one bad game but he seems to be Sheedys scapegoat fro the moment.

Take some responisbilty coach - since you resigned we have gone to schit- coincidence - me thinks not.

Fair enough but who gets dropped for all these blokes? We can't just drop blokes cause they are a bit older than these boys you have to go with who is performing best. And with the example of Alvey when he goes back to bendigo he is out performing these guys so deserves first crack.

Ramma, Alvey, Haynes, Hille earlier in the season, Bolton. There ar eplenty to make way - I don;t mind Alvey playing when he deserves his spot via the magoos - but when he puts in sub standard senior performances he should be put back in the magoos.

I will give Alvey until the end of next year before I make up my mind, but so far he has been woeful for the Dons.

I don't think Bolton should be dropped I just think he should be played in his best position the half forward flank. Haynes has to play forward or in the middle too. Rama may deserve a run in the two's aswell but I don't think you can play all these young blokes in the team at once.

I want to have a look at Lovett before the end of the year. So you would either have to drop cupido or NLM.

Different players. Lovett plays small and has the ability to accumulate possessions, a bit more in the Darren Bewick mold. He will win a lot of his ball running towards goals (ie front and square).

Cupido and LMurray run away from goals to win the ball (ie lead) and can play tall as well as small.

I wouldn't drop them to make way for Lovett, I can't see why all three of them couldn't play in the same forward line.....infact I'd love to see it. The thing that would worry me if we dropped NLM is that we would lose his forward pressure, chasing etc. because at the moment he is the only forward we have who does it on a consistent basis.

Why not Haynes?
...bring in the kids

Irony!

But to answer the question, not Haynes because he had twelve good possessions in the last quarter alone last week.
Look at the people who are playing POORLY.

Alvey shouldn't be in the side atm, but he's a certain improver - takes a good year and a full preseason to get over a knee reco.

Why don't they give Bolts some extended time on the ball??? After all he is the time trial King. He'd actually be hard for opposition sides to match up on being so tall and strong overhead. He may be able to play as a midfielder who drifts forward and kicks goals.

Looks like you got most of your wishes

In- Ted Richards, Jason Winderlich, Ricky Dyson, Jobe Watson, Marc Bullen

out- Joe Misiti (knee), Mark Alvey (ribs), Ben Haynes, Damian Cupido, Nathan Lovett-Murray(omitted)
