From that I reckon Rioli and Reynolds definitely wont play.

Only 2 of Winders, Ricky and Pev will play. I have a feeling Sheeds will let Pev play, with it being his 100th and all, but I really hope not.

Ryder just about has to play. Sheedy will want Hille forward at some stage and Bradley might be needed to do a job at either end.

JJ has to play. Showed some good signs last week and is used to the big occassion.

I'd go with Winderlich and Dyson as the other two. If Rioli is fit though i couldn't think of a reason not to play him. Could really be an X factor.

Pev and Reynolds, no thanks.

i am having nightmares from when i first looked at the team and match preview emailed to my by the essendon website. in the first email it had mark bolton named in every position. i nearly spewed. to think that this week is going to be tough already and then send that out. i would be very confident if it was james hird named in every position and it would be understandable as he probably will be all over the place again as he collects another anzac day medal.


after looking at the side it is a very dangerous forward line!

They can ruck Kepler and play Hille at FF.

Would just mean McPhee and Solly have to play taller. Fletch to Rocca, McPhee and Solly to Cloke/Tarrant.

Cartledge did pick up an injury at the end of the Bendigo game last week. I presume he's injured.

We may as well play one short if that is the case. Reynolds was rubbish yesterday and Dean needs at least a month of VFL footy before we bring him into the senior team.

Playing 4 of the 7 named on the bench in yesterdays match was one of the more stupid ideas i have seen. Any of them could have been hurt and now one will have to back up after a short break, and lets not forget there is a 5 day break to the next match against the dawks. There really was no need to have done that.

i think johns might play and as a roughy maybe neagle, is a fullforward by trade and sheedy was impressed with his 5 goals in a practise match, might think its time he jumped into the big league???

I very much doubt that Johns will be playing.. Played an ordinary half in the VFL before going off with a back injury (that will apparently be right by next week).

More likely are one of Rioli or Reynolds. Both didn't play full games in the VFL (Rioli a half, and Reynolds 3/4).... With Dyson and Pev missing out....

Saying that, I'd be surprised if Rioli plays as he has played not much more then a half of footy in a long time.

As the teams were named so early, I don't think there is a penalty if they change the side...
