ESSENDON TEAM
Backs: Mark McVeigh Dustin Fletcher Dean Solomon
Half Backs: Andrew Welsh Kepler Bradley Adam McPhee
Centres: Andrew Lovett Jason Johnson Damien Peverill
Half Forwards: Dean Rioli Scott Lucas James Hird
Forwards: Jason Laycock Matthew Lloyd Nathan Lovett-Murray
Rucks: David Hille, Mark Johnson, Brent Stanton
Interchange: Mark Bolton, Damian Cupido, Justin Murphy, Angus Monfries
Emergencies: Ty Zantuck, Jobe Watson, Henry Slattery,
IN: Damian Cupido, Dean Rioli, Dustin Fletcher

Stronger team than last round, for sure.

Surprised Zantuck is ommitted (maybe really injured?) but still a chance to come in for Fletch no doubt.

I'll be ********ed off if Jobe Watson isn't in our best 22 and Mark Bolton is.

Mostly great in's and out's.

As far as I'm concerned, anyone can bag Rioli as much as they like. But he's the engine of our team and I don't think it's any coincedence at all that when Rioli's in the team and playing well, we win; when he's not, we go schitt

Very surprised actually (annoyed at first) but then I look down the list, and there really is only one or two people he's ahead of...

ST KILDA
B: Penny, Hudghton, Voss
HB: Goddard, Maguire, S.Fisher
C: Jones, Powell, Murray
HF: Harvey, Riewoldt, Montagna
F: Milne, Gehrig, Hayes
FOLL: Ackland, Dal Santo, Ball
I/C: R.Clarke, Baker, McQualter, Fiora
EMG: Schwarze, Peckett, Blake
IN: Penny, Montagna
OUT: Thompson, Peckett

---------------------------------------

We can beat that.

"Shadow" Voss will rip up our forward line, :p .

Looks like a good team, anything into why Zantuck's been omitted? Wouldn't of minded seeing Zantuck and Gehrig going head to head.

My theory is Zantuck is out injured and Fletch will play, but naming Zantuck in the emergencies creates doubt as to whether Fletch will play, so St. Kilda can't be sure. Though cornflakes prolly thinks he's Chad Fletcher anyway.

Forwards v Backs
Laycock Lloyd Lovett-Murray vs Penny, Hudghton, Voss
About even

HF vs HB
Rioli Lucas Hird vs Goddard Macguire Fisher
Huge advantage Essendon

Centres
Lovett JJ Peverill vs Jones Powell Murray
Jones>Lovett, JJ => Powell, Pev >=Murray
Advantage Essendon

HB vs HF
Welsh Bradley McPhee vs Harvey Riewoldt Montagna
Advantage St Kilda (just)

Backs vs Forwards
McVeigh Fletcher Solomon vs Milne Gehrig Hayes
Advantage St KIlda

Midfield
Hille MJ Stanton vs Ackland Dalsanto Ball
Advantage St Kilda

Bench
Bolton Murphy Cupido Monfries vs R Clarke McQualter Baker Fiora
Bolton<R Clarke, Murphy>McQualter, Cupido=Baker, Monfries<Fiora
Slight advantage St Kilda

SK slightly in front but that HF line of ours looks extremely potent.

We can win this !!!!!!!!!!

probably the best team we have put out there all year. we can win this.

play mcveigh on milne as he can do the job and it will allow welsh to playmake across halfback. in saying that though welsh could take him and you can use mcveigh to tag through the middle.
fletch to take gehrig. or solo, allowing fletcher to play as the lose man.
bradley on riewoldt but solo would be another option.
would try and work the matchups so mcphee can play forward. maybe even use rioli as a playmaker of half back.

in the middle i would tag hayes with peverill, and let m johnson go head to head with ball. depending on where dal santo starts he needs to be watched. he may play of half back but if he goes into the middle maybe murphy or mcveigh could tag him.

up forward is where our guns can fire and we can kick a big enough score. lucas hird lloyd mcphee laycock/hille lovett cupido and lovett murry are dangerous. bolton might even be able to go forward and really stretch them for hight.

this is by far our best side all year and i am expecting a win against a st kilda side that has struggled with consistency and are not at full strength.

He could be used as an option to play on Riewoldt, or actually rather be
played by Riewoldt.
Either way he's ********ed.
