Its great to have a dip but if you're not up to AFL standard then it means nought.
And unfortunately just as Longy doesn't rate Thomas, I don't rate Winderlich.

Honest trier, yes no question.
Good enough to play on any of Judd, Kerr, Cousins, Fletcher, Stenglein, Embley, Braun, Sampi - IMO no and never will.

Am happy to be proven wrong and would love for him to really string a few 20 possession games together.
But the fact remains he struggles to even have 10 possession games and that frankly is not good enough.

haha

Is any of our current midfield good enough to go with west coast? After the adelaide mauling we copped i highly doubt it.

Lets play the kids and let them develop. I have had enough of this treading water rubbish. These current midfielders as a collective group will get us nowhere. Lets change it up a bit and see where that takes us.

What do you want him to say ?
"Fellas, we are no possible hope today. Just try your hardest."

Much as that might be true, he has to put a positive spin on it. Can you name one coach in the world in any sport who has gone into a match by declaring publicly that their team could not win ?????
Any coach, any sport ????

Fine talk about winning - but why bring finals into the talk?
Senior players are senior players and reserves players are reserves players for a reason. Because in most circumstances they just happen to be far better players then them.

Say you dropped Solomon and brought in Hunt or one of the other Bendigo Bombers.
Inevitably they would look not up to standard and next weeks thread would contain that poor kids name amongst the ones to be delisted next year.

I just love how supporters think that a kid playing good reserves football is a better player than the senior player who has played 100 games or more who is in a bit of a slump.
So inother words - senior players are infallable?

So seeing a guy out of form - no doubt injured who should be resting, is better than giving experience to a youger player? Not certain I can agree with tha logic.

I am fire trucked off because I could see what he would do and he did it. What type of message does that send to younger players - we'll drop you if the senior ones don't perform?

didn;t realize that once you became a senior player you automaticlaly got selected.

Keep it up Sheeds - and the Dawks will be miels ahead of us in a couple of years. :(

I'm all for blooding young kids but theres a time and a place and of all the rounds to do it I'm not sure that the toughest road trip in footy against the inform league leaders who've got back a couple of stars is the right time or place to do it.

Hypothetically if it does turn out to be the drubbing everyone seems to be predicting I'd question the value of that, either to the kids, or the rest of the senior group. Wait until next week when the season completely gone (following tonights impending loss)

Matchup of the Round- Embley VS McPhee
Would be great if these two go head to head, to see who is the best utility in the game ATM. My tip would be McPhee as he is stronger overhead although Embers does have a bigger tank and runs all day.

Embley would run rings around mcphee.

Because finals are not out of the question.

The only sides we struggle against are those with good midfield depth.
So (and excuse the Gary Ayresism's) your Melbourne's, your Geelongs, your Adelaide's, your West Coasts and to a lesser extent St Kilda will always have the wood on us.

We are competitive with every other team in the league and in most cases are better than them.

We are in a similar predicament to the Bulldogs except they are at the opposite end of the spectrum to us.
They are a decent side but are just hopelessly mismatched against tall sides. All other teams they are competitive with.

If we win the games we are meant to win, we can make the finals.

Agree with most

It is a joke Cupdio was dropped.
Has definitely improved his attitude. Playing forward pocket in a dud midfield side is pretty hard. Look at Lloyd playing full forward in one.

How was Cupido meant to get a kick when the ball never even got down there in the second half? Pretty ordinary that other occasions he should be dropped he was retained.
Also agreed Winderlich should have stayed especially at Subiaco where his pace would have been vital and he would have a chance to run.

How Solomon is still in is a joke and why I am losing faith. He was pathetic last week as he has been all year. Been towelled up every week which leads to undisiplined acts. Reminds me a bit of MJ last year.
He is not fit therefore shouldnt be playing.

Why is Solomon in a joke?
Sure he is out of form, yes he was disgraceful in Adelaide last week.

But.

We went to Perth with an injury cloud of Fletcher.
WCE have Hansen, Lynch, Edwards and Seaby in their side. Not to mention Embley.

With Fletcher and Zantuck now more than likely out, who plays on them if Solomon doesn't play?

Yes Hunt comes in, but is Henneman a better option?
We can't win the game if Lucas goes back.
Solly has to play.

I'm not sure that CH10 were quite on the money.

SEN and 3AW have apparently confirmed it.

I had a feeling they'd probably be out.

Everyone's saying "Oh we'll lose by 100 now" but I don't think it'll make that much of a difference. I'd rather have Fletch get healthy and right instead of playing on a bum ankle in a game we realistically have very little chance of winning, and giving Hunt a shot at the same time.

Wouldn't be the first time the media has been wrong.

Although it wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong either. But I'm pretty confident on this one.
