Brave work from Teddy but it has cost him dearly. Probably out for the season now....Him coughing out that dark blood was sickening..

Get well soon Ted.

FFUUCKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:(

BROKE MY HEART- LOVE YOU TEDDY

He was going so well as loosey in defence too :(

I knew when i seen the blood it had to have been an internal injury. It was pretty sickening to watch, but glad in a way he didn't look too dis-stressed and was able to walk off the field. But definately his season is more than likely over.

Hope he recovers well and we have him back in 2010.

Can someone get a video of this?

I felt alot of pride that a swannnies boy would put their body on the line, when the game is already lost. Says alot about his character.

Teddy gets a lot of shit from some posters here but what he did against Fevola he does week in and week out without a second thought. Hope he's okay :thumbsu:

I'm not his biggest fan to be fair, but you are right, his courage cannot be questioned. Is always the one to be backing back to cut off the ball to a leading forward, much like what he did in the dying stages today.

I have never ever doubted Teddy's courage or his commitment to the team, I would always rather a ted over a receiver any day..Good Luck Teddy

Poor Teddy it was so scary to see that happen

I knew hed hurt himself badly

i once had internal bleeding and i was vomitting up dark blood like that and **** its scary and not fun at all but he was very brave

actually i thought it was really nice of Fev to help up Craig Bolton and make sure he was ok after taking a whack to the head showed a side of fev we dont see often

Cheers Chism, by the way I think that boy Kruezer might be a bit of a player 1 day but he needs a bit of work..not sure on what though..all the best 4 the rest of the year

Made some terrible blunders the past few months but certainly can't fault his courage and comittment. Looked awful with the amount of blood he was coughing up, hope he recovers quickly.

He has some courage alright.

Most defenders would know the danger jumping in front of Fev presents (with that knee and weight of his), so it highlighted his courage more so.

Hope he gets well soon.

Guys I just wanted to say, I hope he gets better soon. Was sickning and I hate seeing players from any team get seriously hurt. But **** me he showed so much courage to do that, and especially in the last minute as well. I hope he get better soon, well done Teddy one of the bravest things I have seen on a sports field. :thumbsu:

I'll guiltily say when running through who I thought could be dropped, Teddy was at the top of the list at about 3/4 time. However, I cannot fault his courage, and I wish him all the best, sad to hear he'll be out for the season, as that likely means I won't see him again until 2011.

Late on Saturday night, Swans doctor Nathan Gibbs said Richards would need to remain in hospital for 2-3 days with a chest drain and he will need ground transport to get back to Sydney. It is a minimum six weeks recovery, Dr Gibbs said.

“He remained stable when he came off the ground and we didn’t have to do an emergency chest decompression," dr Gibbs said.

"We monitored him and got him straight to hospital where he had a chest drain inserted into his lung to reinflate the lung. He is now doing well and his lung is back to two-thirds it size within ten minutes of the drain being inserted.”

His family were with him following the game and remain with him at the hospital.

I am not proud of myself but I had to be removed by friends from a bar during the game because I was so fired up at some Carlton supporters derogatory comments about Ted's courage. They made me sick.

Fricken OWWWWWWWWWWWW. Ted got destroyed. Season over. That's a nasty, tough, brave footy collision.

Fev's a menace to drop back in front of, cos he's heavy, fast, and has no leap whatsoever, so he tends to plow straight in rather than go over the top. That's three guys he's taken out this year, Harding (NM), Richards (SS) and oHailpin (Carlton... DOH).

Best of luck, Ted, for a full, speedy recovery and be ready to rock in 2010.

how could they say anything bad about him in this situation .... that's crazy and so insensitive.
