Hi, I have a few questions regarding Telstra Stadium.

1. Why do they sell seats in supporter blocks i.e Geelong supporters/Swans supporters?
2. Is there any reciprocal rights for AFL Full members?
3. What's it like to watch footy at?
4. What beer do they serve there?
5. Is the public transport as smooth and easy as the glowing public transport website suggests?

I think that's about it. Thanks!

1. No Idea
2. Not sure
3. I quite like it, its better than watching Rugby there
4. Not sure
5. Public transport is good for Cityrail, Sydney Olympic Park Station is right across from the ground, trains go direct from Central on match days I think, and trains go to and from Lidcombe (only station where you can get on the trains that go on the Olympic Park Sprint) every 10 minutes

1. They have done it with each game, which makes it good for the pposition supporters to sit together if they want. They can choose anywhere to sit if they want.
2. Not sure
3. Not a great footy venue- you seem to watch the big screens most of the time. Telstra Dome and the G is better by far.
4. Don't know, but I think it is light
5. Not really, but it depends where you leave from. Melbourne transport is much better- the plus is the train and bus drop you right outside the door like Telstra Dome

Also, as far as I can see, the difference between the ticket prices is quite literally one row? Surely that's not right, where would you choose to sit?

That is true. If you are unlucky to pay extra for a row difference, it would annoy you.

Hi Bobby, I really enjoyed the game the last time the Cats were in town :D

1. I believe it is just to give visiting fans an option to be certain they are around others of their ilk (and it probably looks good to bunch them together on telly). It is a pretty friendly crowd anyway wherever you sit, so don't feel obliged to sit in the visiting fans section.
2. Not sure.
3. It actually isn't all that bad, you get a good, elevated view of the ground from pretty close to the action. It isn't my favourite venue and the atmosphere isn't as good as the SCG, but it isn't the worst place to watch a game. Don't buy the nosebleeds, though, if you can avoid it.
4. Cold beer! I'm pretty sure it is Toohey's and you can get full strength.
5. Public transport from the city is pretty decent when there is a game on, there is a train station a short (well lit and well populated) walk from the ground. Trains can get a little packed (as you would expect) but come relatively reguarly.

I'd like to sit amongst Sydney supporters if possible, just so I can explain the rules to them, and explain why Billy Brownless isn't playing etc. ;)

Actually, the Swans people around me at THAT final were all very humble and stopped to have a chat on the way out. Only one person tried to have a crack at us, and she was the tart in the red and white sequinned suit that was yelling 'penalty' all game. Fairweather if ever I've seen it.
