Try to make it as short as possible.

- Get drunk lose my mobile whilst living in Darwin.
- On a $55 plan
- get a nokia 5210 on a $10 plan and put the $55 sim card in the 5210
- Combine both plans on the same bill, so you could say I'm on a $65 plan
- Move to melb
- Combine mobile bill, home phone and bigpond account on the same bill to get the discount
- Start getting huge Quarterly bills. Not good so ask to get my mobile bill monthly.
- Telstra separates my mobile bill. But instead of combining the two plans again they send the $10 plan bills to my old address in Darwin. I dont realise this so continue to pay my bill which is sent to my Victorian address.
- 6 months later my mobile is disconnected.
- Not knowing why ring and inquire. The problem is solved when I pay out what I owed for my 5210 about $80. The lady appolagises on behalth of Telstra for thier mistake and she reconnects my phone and the problem is resolved. ( I think )

- 18 months later I recieve a Debt collectables letter saying I will be going to court if I dont pay $88.
- Ring the debt collectors. They say it is for the account for my 5210.
- I say I paid it.
- They say that I must sought it out with Telstra.
- I ring Telstra, they say it's not there problem anymore and I should deal with the dept collectors.
- I say that they Both should sought it out because I've paid the bill. No one believes me and no one can tell me wether or not I have.
- Frustration builds.
- Ask to talk to someone in telstra that could go back in the records to see if when I paid it. No help at all. " you obvisouly didn't pay it if it has gone to the debt collectors".
- Frustration builds.
- Ring the Telecommunications Omberdsman(spelling?)
- the Gave me a 1800 .... to ring in Telstra.
- speak to man who fixes problem 4 days later.

A mistake was made By Telstra when I payed the bill, they still couldn't tell me what but sent me a letter saying the problem was solved and everything was finalised.

I felt like asking for compensation for the time ( atleast 3 hours on hold) spent on the phone and the stress.

I hate Telstra.

Another reason to keep the reciepts of every bill you pay. All these big corporations may look like theyve got their act together, but when they **** up, they really **** up!!

After I moved out of my old house 18 months ago, I close all my utilities accounts, and asked for the suppliers to send all final bills and correspondence to my PO BOX address.

This went off without a hassle, except for my AGL bill (AGL is an electricity and gas supplier in Melbourne's west).

Because most of my accounts were in credit from the having very recently paid the previous statement (I kept ahead with fortnightly payment booklets), most bills were either small, or were refunds. When after a few weeks I couldn't find an AGL bill, I wasn't too worried presuming that I had paid it or that I was in credit and they didn't bother sending out a cheque for the small difference.

As I said, not too worried.

About three months after I'd moved out (and well and truly finalised all the other accounts), I got a call on my mobile from the AGL "customer service" department, saying that if I did not pay my outstanding bill TODAY I would face legal action.

Turns out they had been sending the bill to the wrong PO BOX number for three months, then expected me to pull $250 out of my arse and pay it within about four hours.

The problem was started when they sent the 5210 bill back to my old address in Darwin. If I actually read my bill properly I would have twigged and noticed that the $10 dollar plan was not on the bill anymore. But I don't read the bill very well as you can see. I just pay it.

a while ago i closed an account with the commonwealth bank, but instead of closing it in the proper fashion, i just withdrew all the money out of it.

at the end of the year i got an account keeping fee of like $2 or whatever it is, but was whacked a $58 fee for my account going into a negative balance!

i hate the CBA as well.

nicko in your case I'd tell CBA that I'm not paying it, and they should just write it off now or it will just cost them more money. They'll complain but they won't do anything.

At the moment Optus are after me for money that I do not owe them. I bought a phone on 12 month contract several years ago. I left the country, cancelling the contract which was then in its 13th month.

They now claim it was an 18 month contract and so I owe them the payout amount. I've told them to produce the document with my signature on it or forget about it but, "Unfortunately it has been destroyed so please pay us the amount outstanding or we will get debt collectors involved and this will be marked on your credit rating."

So these bullies want ME to pay a non-existent fee, remembering they have admitted that they have no evidence of me owing said fee, or they will try to stuff my chances of getting loans or credit cards in future.

Riiiiiight...

If you read this you owe me $100. Don't argue or things could go bad for you in unspecified ways.

I hate Telstra as well, those lazy *****wit servicemen three days before Easter were fiddling around with the telephone exchange at Dhurringile, and just my damn luck they cut off my phone (I noticed this because I spoke to my sister at lunchtime, hung up the phone, made myself a sandwich finished my lunch, tried to ring up a Sports Medicine Warehouse in Fitzroy, and found out that the phone was dead (as well as the fax and the internet).

So, I had to divert my home calls to my mobile (which I hardly use because they're next to useless around here), and what really shat me off was that If I had to make any emergency calls to the vet from my mobile at home (which happened twice during the 10 days when it was out) I would be charged at the mobile rate even though the ****wits cut off my phone line in the first place, and that was really rubbing salt into the wounds.

But, now i've got my phone line back (after badgering them like hell), and to think that our santimoniuos, arse licking, war mongering lying little son of a bitch of a Prime Minister (a national embarrasment), and the rest of his cold hearted, penny pinching posse, wants to sell Telstra, if that does happen, I may as well start sending messages by carrier pidgeon.

TELSTRA:mad:
