Terrible umpiring

Without a doubt, the craziest, stupidest rule in effect these days is that arm raising thing while in protected space. I mean, who comes up with this crap?

It's not the sole reason we lost but to say they had no influence is well just plain stupid & naive.

Read my lips. No influence on the result.
Cloke kicked 7, Swan destroyed us, plenty of mates in that second half. We had probably two or three winners on the day...and I'm scratching my head to pick them. Maybe Maric, Riewoldt and Cotch.

And where do you get off calling a fellow Tiger "stupid and naive"?

Crybaby.

King holding the ball. Bullshit.
Lynch 50m. Bullshit.
Every ref on the day should go back to primary school level footy.

Saw another one. Dying seconds of the third. Holding Riewoldt when he didnt even have the bloody ball. No call. Bullshit.

4th Quarter, Swan gets the ball and drops it because Deledio tackles him from behind. No call. Bullshit. At least a holding the ball or illegal disposal. Favoritism at its best.

Bit like Cotch against the Doggies last week.... should have been pinged, fell to Edwards and goal to us.... it works both ways but you need 2 eyes to be able to see it....;) Doesn't affect good sides, so we need to deal with it if we wanna be any good. Stop whinging about umpires (they aren't called refs by the way), it makes you sound like a sore loser....

nice one. you got friends?

Plenty... most of them can accept their faults too and that of the teams they support. You clearly lack understanding of the game if you think the reason we lose games is because of umpiring.... but good luck with that.
k.... i did not say that umpiring was the reason for the loss.... dont know if always assuming or just pessimistic person.

Ill never say the game was directly influenced by the officiators... but we lost as a direct result of the umpiring. a direct result. Geez i hope theyre on minimum wage because if i had a bloke working for me doing a job in a standard in which the umpires have tonight id have sacked him after a week. DEADSET.

Not normally one to complain about umpiring but the free kick count in the 1-3 qtr and that goal umpire was in the wrong spot, completely robbed of a goal.
May I ask how that was not a ball up in the goal square at the end? From my eyes Vickery did not touch the ball, the umpire touched it in the field of play and it resulted in a point.

What is the rule about an umpire touching the ball in play?

Edit: sorry Hate, didnt mean to quote you in that!

Non-WA teams are always up against it at Subiaco.

That goal umpire should never officiate at AFL level again though.

It was a ball up when P Carey took a mark, us v dogs, 1999 or so. Reckon that hurt your boys, unlucky. Glad for the win but not happy that that decision was part of it.

Good luck for the rest of the year. Reckon you've got a great coach.

Case in point - A game won by bias umpiring. The third quarter was a disgrace.

Goal umpire was basically a soccer goalie - prevented a Richmond goal from clearly going through. Ironically, no video replay would be needed as the idiot was standing IN FRONT of the line. He should be BEHIND the line = ANOTHER umpiring blunder, which in this case, dictated the result of the game to Freo.

We were shit tonight but robbed. That is a hollow win for Freo, and why was the goal umpire standing the field of play?

If an ump accidentally touches the ball it's play on, simple as that.

Why. I'd know you're shitty, you have every right to be, but the goalie had to be on the line to adjudicate. Any time there's a contest near the line they have to be straddled ove the line with their back against the post. He was where he was meant to be.
Vickery should have marked it.
