Well apparently it was a decent performance from England. Not that I saw it. did anyone here?

Please God don't let Sean O'Loughlin be injured: we've got nearly all the first team out as it is.

I can imagine the average Canberran being confused by the fact that the ANZAC Day test gets played on 5 May.

It wasn't the ANZAC day test, it was the ANZAC test and it has been that for some time now.

Really disappointing to read about Jess Bromwich and Kevin Procter and the alleged drug bust and especially after SKD was busted too. At a time when NZ's International standing is going rapidly backwards, you wonder what goes through these blokes heads. Way to take the focus off the footy guys.

Very entertaining game between Fiji and Tonga with the result in doubt until the end. I noted all 3 games were reffed by Australians which only further confirms who actually ruins the game. Was it too expensive to pop an Englishman on the plane with the England team? To find a Kiwi bloke to do the PNG v Cook Islands game?

Country Origin v City Origin
Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium
Sunday, 4pm

It will be a bittersweet affair at Mudgee's Glen Willow Regional Sports Stadium as over 100 years of history comes to an end with the last Country v City game.

One of the oldest fixtures in rugby league will be played for the final time; after several years of decreasing availability of top-line players in part due to an increasingly packed schedule, this will be the last time Country Origin hosts City Origin in regional NSW.

After letting in a huge 44 points last year, you can bet the Country lads will be out for revenge in a match where both squads will be desperate to say they notched a victory – for posterity's sake as much as anything.

Despite a poor record historically, Country have had the slight edge over the past decade and have named a strong team despite concerns that the unavailability of large numbers of players would devalue the contest.

Be careful what you wish for. As I've said before, the top Aussie refs are much better than ours.
